-two months later-

Rebecca was heading to her car, when she felt something or someone behind her. Being very quiet and still, she slowly turned around to see a very hyper golden retriever.

"Hey there Kale, whats up boy?" she went to rub his ears and belly,"you scared me. Do you want me to drop you off with mom and dad?"

As if understanding, Kale barked twice and jumped into the car. Rebecca was impressed on the little guy. She still remembers when she first saw both of them unconscious. When they came home that day, the poor little guy was in so much pain, didn't let her sleep one bit. But that was one of the reasons she couldn't sleep that day. The other reason was Ashton, she just couldn't keep him out of her mind, still can't even.
"Stop it Rebecca," she told herself,"c'mon, it's not worth it." Slamming the door, Rebecca put Ashton into the darkest, most closed place in her mind.

After arriving to the clinic, I called out to them, "Mom, Dad! I'm here, with Kale, he wanted to come so I came to drop him off."

She opened the door to the clinic. It seemed quiet, too quiet.
"Hello?"
"MMMMMMM!" She heard someone struggling inside of one of the examining rooms.
"Mom?"
"MMMMMMM!!"
"Mom!" Rebecca ran to her tied mother on the floor. Her mother had duct tape on her mouth and she was tied to a pole on the right side of the room.
With trembling hands, Rebecca ran to her mother and untapped her mouth.
As she struggled untying her mothers' arms, she asked,"mom, where's dad? What happened, who did this?"
She couldn't talk.
"Mom! You have to tell me! Where's dad!"
Her mother said nothing, she just pointed to a big black bag on the other corner. Slowly, Rebecca walked to the bag and opened it. Once opened, the bag revealed it had a body. The body of her father. She couldn't speak or move. Everything seemed distant. Nothing mattered but the fact that her father was dead.
Going back to her mother, she asked,"I will ask you once mom, who did this?"
"Ashton."
