5. HALDI

You do not know him yet you find yourself looking for him in a room of people.

The morning started with the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations.

Since we are moving to the resort all the things have to be arranged.

All the gifts have been prepared. Sweets are also packed.

All of us are busy with something or the other. The men are checking the packs of sweets,women preparing Geet's bags and me and Raika checking the gifts.

We start keeping things in the cars and go back to our rooms to get ready.

Taking a shower I walk out and wear a pair of jeans along with a crop top.
Raika is wearing similar outfit and we both walk down to see entire family gathered to have breakfast.

We eat and then get in the cars.

We drive to the resort jamming to different songs.

As the cars enter the resort,we get down and move in to see the Rathore men gathered in the lobby.

They greet us and give us our room keys.

Rajveer and I look at each other and we look at each other's outfits.
He's wearing a fitting denim shirt and jeans with the tops button left unbuttoned.

He looks great as he always does.
We walk alongside them to the elevator.

The elders move in one elevator while
we take the other.

Rehan Bhai enters first after the Rathore men and then we enter.

I could see him looking at me from the reflection of the doors.

What's with Rathore men staring at Mathur women.

First it was Rajveer staring at me and then Reyansh at Raika and well Reyhan is marrying Geet.

The elevator stops and we get out and move towards our rooms. This time we are not sharing rooms.

I scan the card and open my door while Rajveer stands at the door.

I look at him and thank him to which he nods with a smile and steps back.

I close the door and decide to rest for a while.

In the evening all of us gather in the dining area for dinner.

Both the families sit together and I happen to sit across him.

I move forward to grab the rice when he picks up the bowl and passes it to me.

Our fingers brush and I pull the bowl back.

We eat while the others talk.

Soon we go back to our rooms.

I lay down on the bed and think of all the encounters I had with him.

Rajveer

Apart from the eye contact we had he never once approached me or try to flirt with me but still all I can think of is him.

He has this aura which attracts you. You do not know him,do not want to pursue him but you keep looking for him in a room of people.

I fall asleep thinking of a certain pair
of eyes.

The next morning all of us get ready for the haldi ceremony.

I wear a yellow suit and leave my room to meet Raika who's wearing a yellow lehenga.

We get into the elevator to go downstairs.

As we get out I see our parents in the lobby waiting for us. We walk to the garden where haldi will take place.

The area is divided into two halves.
The bride and her family on one side and the groom and his family on the other side.

The haldi is first applied to the groom and then to the bride.
After his family we apply haldi to Reyhan and soon his cousins bring the haldi to our side.

Raika takes the bowl from Reyansh and we apply haldi to Geet.

Soon there is a haldi fight going on started by Ishan. Both the families are part of it.

It's about which family is covered in haldi more.

All of us chase each other with the haldi.

I run after Rihani when she stops and I move forward when she moved aside and I slam into Rajveer.

I look at him looking at me and then the haldi on my hands. I stare at him and notice that he's not covered in haldi at all. Not even a little bit.

But I do not think me applying it would be great considering what is going on between us as it might give him ideas.

I move back and turn around when I feel him holding my wrist.

I turn around and look at him pointing at his self.

I frown and twist my wrist but he holds firmly.

He points at my hands and then at his self.

I look at him with a knowing look and he leaves my wrist.

I apply haldi on his cheeks.

I wait for him to apply it when he steps aside and smiled at me.

I smiled back and walk to the bride's side where my family is.
