Meeting again

Knuckella finishes her dinner and hugs her father before getting dressed in her peasant clothes once more. She leaves the castle with the guards knowledge of what she looks like then heads into town. She smiles at the clock tower as it just rang seven and she saw Sonic standing there and he smiled while waving. "Hey!" He said. "Hey" she smiled. "Ready to enjoy three festival?" He asked. "Yep come on" she said and the two walk through the festival. Knuckella gets her father's moon cake much to Sonic's curiosity. "Who's the moon came for?" He asked. "Oh for my father he loves these and I promise I get one for him." She said. "That's nice of you" "Well.... My father is.... My father is like the king because he lost his wife and well I know it has to be hard to raise a child alone..... even if he is remarried not by choice." She looks down. "So your father is unhappy with his queen?" He asked. "Yes very unhappy but he— wait.... What?" "Got you" sonic smiled and she blushed. "How did you find out?" "The moment you said your name. It's a very unique and beautiful name that your mother gave the day you were born. From what I heard." He smiled making her blush more. "I'm sorry I just didn't want to be treated differently ya know?" She said. "Well yeah I can understand because people don't always show their true selves around higher power." He smiled. "That is true but since you knew I..." "Hey I was nice to you before you said your name. I saw you as a person and I still do." He said and she saw the genuine kindness in his eyes. "Thank you" she said with her heart racing. "No problem now come on let's enjoy the rest of the festival." He said and she nods. They spent the rest of the time together laughing and talking. Sonic wins a small prize for her at a game booth making her smile. As the night progressed she knew that she was starting to fall in love with him. When midnight strikes she and sonic said their goodbyes. "Want to meet again? Same time? Same place?" He asked. "Yes I would I'll see you in a few days" she smiled. "Great see you later" he said and leaves as she does the same.
For the next couple of months the two would meet and each time Knuckella would fall more and more in love. He was someone she could be herself around and he enjoys being around her and is falling in love with her too. The king and queen starts to notice Knuckella was much more happier lately which made the king happy but the queen suspicious. One night a month before the ball the queen followed Knuckella and sees her with a man but couldn't tell who it was. Yet she knew this wasn't a royal and knew this was her way of getting back at Knuckella months ago. "KNUCKELLA!" She yelled storming up.
The queen storms into the castle with Knuckella struggling. "LET ME GO YOU WITCH!" She yelled trying to get out of her stepmothers grip. "Vera what is the meaning of this?!" Her father demanded. "I discovered why your daughter has been the way she's been. It's because she has been seeing a peasant boy!" Vera said and threw Knuckella to the ground. Knuckella looked up at her father who eyes was filled with disappointed. "Is this true?" He asked and Knuckella sighed. "He's my friend but... I developed feelings for him..... father please I—" he held up his hand silencing her. "Go to your room..... and you're forbidden seeing that boy." "But fath—" "I HAVE SPOKEN! You will find a man of wealth who can take care of you at the ball in a month and that's final!!!!" He yelled at her for the first time. "GO!" He yelled. She tears up and runs to her crying making the queen smile. "Looks like you can't trust your own daughter now can you" she said walking past her husband. "I still trust her more than you Vera..... god why did parliament choose her." He thought and went to his room. The king sat on his bed and started thinking then realized he might've made a mistake. Yet he wanted to see this man who won his daughter's heart. The king grabs his cloak and leaves the palace. It didn't take him long to find the young man who was clearly heartbroken looking at torn fabric of Knuckella's sleeve. "That woman is so horrible..... I promise after the ball Knuckella I will reveal myself and make your stepfamily pay for their cruelty." He said to himself but the king heard it. "Who are you really then? And what is your intentions with my daughter" the king said making sonic jump. The kings eyes widen and stepped back once Sonic took off the hood of his cloak. "My god you're....."
