The Ball pt.2

Shadow yawns as he stood near the thrones. He bows to the stepsisters and glances at his brother with annoyance yet notice a slight disappointment in his eyes. "I guess his princess was supposed to be with them. Ugh I want this to end so I can go and bed with Silver." He thought. "So dear prince as you can tell you have two of us from the emerald kingdom to choose from. I would be a better choice for you though." Sally smiled. "No I would because I'm closer in age" Amy smirked. "I have heard of your kingdom and shouldn't there be another princess? The one that was born to the king?" Shadow asked. "She and the king fell ill sure" Vera said walking up. "I see well then may I have this dance?" He extended his elbow and Amy quickly loops around it. Sally pouts and watches her sister dance with the 'prince'. As the ball continues Sonic looks down but deep down felt something was wrong. "Her stepfamily had to have done something to her and the king" he thought. Then the ballroom got quiet and everyone gasped looking at the stairway. Even the announcer was struck. "Who is that?" "She's so beautiful even with that mask." "Where did she come from?" More guest talk in awe of the woman as she walks through the crowd. Sonic took one glance and saw her eyes then smiled. "She's here! Oh thank god!" He thought. Shadow had stop dancing with sally at this point and was struck seeing Knuckella. "If I wasn't into guys I'd choose her as my bride." He thought. She walked up and bows to him. "Thank you for the invitation your highness" she said. "You're welcome" he said. "Why does she look so familiar?!" Her stepmother and stepsisters thought. What Knuckella doesn't know is that the mask is enchanted with a spell so that her stepfamily wouldn't recognize her yet her true love can see past the mask. She walks over to the drink table as the party continues yet her stepmother watches closely. "Even with the mask you're still so beautiful" Knuckella jump and turn seeing a blue hedgehog with a white feather mask. Yet she saw his eyes and couldn't believe it. "Sonic? What are you doing here? How are you here?" She asked but extremely happy. "Let's talk outside I'll explain" he said. The two walk outside and the stepmother follows but was blocked by the guards. "Why are the guards blocking th— oh my god that blue hedgehog was the prince! Agh!" She thought and stormed off before informing her daughters as shadow dance with his and Sonic's mother.
Knuckella hears the song thats playing and wanted to dance to it. Sonic noticed and clears his throat. "May I?" He asked holding out his hand. She smiled and takes his hand then he pulls her close. Her chest pressed his mid chest and looked up into his eyes. "I'm so sorry I hadn't come for our meetings my father banned me but he undid it" she said. "I know I talked to him." Sonic smiled and she was shocked. "You spoke to my father? Why?" "Because I fallen for you Knuckella and I have something to tell you....." he said and her heart swelled knowing he loved her back. "What is it?" "I'm the—" he was cut off when the clock rang in the night. "Oh no... it's all most midnight... I have to go" she said. "Wait—" "I'll see you when you come back same time ok?!" She said and she ran off. "Shadow noticed her running out and sonic chasing her then summon the guards to help. As she was running down the stairs one of her heels slip off. She turns to go back for it yet sonic voice was heard and she left the heel. She got into the carriage and soon disappeared into the night. Sonic and Shadow got to the stairs just as the carriage was out of sight. "We'll look at that" shadow picks up the heel. "Guess you'll need to find her with this" he said. "Shut up Shadow" sonic growled.

"I already know where to find you my love and I'll be coming tomorrow as I am."
