"The Drug"

The morning had came with a clear sky . Clouds had gone away and sun was up . It was all very clear and refreshing after the rain . Pools of water were everywhere on the ground . The rain had washed the blood away for good

Prince Ralph climbed up on his horse and gave a greeting smile to Prince Eliot . He similarly smiled back and saw him off . Meanwhile , the guard who was gonna accompany him to the trip back was covered in cold sweat

As they rode through the town , the guard kept looking here and there avoiding Prince Alexa's gaze though he wouldn't look at him . Prince noticed his this behaviour and frowned but kept going nevertheless

He looked around . The soldiers were clearing yesterday's mess while having silly arguments with sellers . The town was lively as it used to . He looked carefully and asked , "Was there a raid before this one too ?"

He didn't feel something right about the surrounding of town . He could tell by the looks the town was raided before too . The guard gulped and the sweat was visible on his forehead now . 

How should he answer or act ? He was happily doing his job when he was suddenly summoned by the Prince and was asked to accompany Prince Ralph to his kingdom . This wasn't the problem 

Problem was they suddenly threatened him not to reveal anything about the day when they searched the doctor around the whole kingdom . He was told he shall not mention that day infront of the prince

But the prince had straightly asked him about that day . He was stuck . He asked God what he had done to suffer through this . He managed to make up

"This market is always kind of messy , your highness . Many import-exports go through here and stocks are always full in this market so..."

Prince Ralph nodded but still looked at him suspiciously . The entire trip afterwards remained very silent only with the sound of horses

Days passed , seasons passed , the winter had started now . The first snow came down covering the west side in a white blanket . Children played around in the snow . People shoveled the snow and opened their shops . It was very lively in the kingdom

The prince of this kingdom was still in bed . A doctor beside him . His mother and father wearing worried expression . He looked . The sickness had fallen on him again . The kind of sickness one experiences when they are far away from their mate

These species were to be mated when they reach a certain point of age . Prince Ralph was nineteen years old now and soon was turning twenty . He was already mated with someone when he turned eighteen but he didn't know who might it be 

He didn't had a single clue as to where his mate would be in this world . And eventually his spirit started to get weaker and the sickness prevailed on him . He could only wait to have his mate found

"The same drug cannot be given for the third time . That drug is really strong , your highness . It's already a miracle that the drug worked on his majesty's body two times without harming it..."

The doctor stated as he looked at King Charles .  king looked down and inhaled . The queen , Melina came and sat beside prince caressing his forehead as she said , "We have always had our hopes on you Doctor Gerrard . Please do something for our son"

"Get me the drug . I can handle it" Prince suddenly spoke as he got up and sat straight grabbing attention of the three

"That's ridiculous , your highness . Try to understand . That drug will spoil your whole body from inside . With you having it consumed already twice only a pinch of it can result in a heart failure"

"Is there any other solution then ?"

"This sickness can only be cured if you find your mate...."

The words were too much despairing . Nothing else could be done now . The effects which were suppressed by the drug twice were affecting now and it was much more painful than before . While thinking about all this , all the time Prince William's thoughts didn't stop appearing 

He endured both the pains and lied down silently . The doctor did give him some painkillers and other medicines for the time being and they left him to rest 

The sickness only got worser to the point it made all his bones sore . He couldn't even get up from the bed . Only then his parents agreed to let him take the risk of consuming the drug for the third time . The drug was a special kind which suppresses the effects until they find their mate

As he sat on the bed leaning on the board , he fiddled with a silver box in his hand . He heaved a sigh and kept the box away . He didn't feel like having it now so he closed his eyes and kept his arm on his forehead . A knock woke him up again

"Come in"

A servant entered and bowed , "Prince Of Malzenia is here , Your highness"

He got a little surprised . The servant moved aside to let the prince in . He got up and walked to him greeting him . The other prince gently left a kiss on his hand

"A visit in this heavy snow ? Prince Williams ?"

The other prince chuckled as he said , "The snow was nothing"  

Prince Ralph couldn't help but give him a sarcastic look. The other person laughed and ruffled his hair only to get his hand jerked away

"You still have this strength ?" Prince Williams said as he held the hand 

"I wonder if his highness has ever heard cursed words before"

His higness' smile grew even bigger upon hearing this and he said in a teasing tone , "Why don't you be my first then ? Prince Alexa"

Prince Alexa really did curse him....
