Chapter 5

My mouth practiclally hit the floor.

"Vampires. You expect me to believe that the thing that attacked me was a vampire?" I said shocked.

"Well, uh..., ya, kinda," Jonah stuttered, but it sounded like a question.

I laughed nevously and shot up, still staring at the two boys that sat before me. I spun on my heel and started to walk toward the front door.

"Lacy, wait!" Xavier yelled before a large, warm hand wrapped around my upper arm and yanked me backward.

"I have had enough manhandling for one day, thank you very much!" I yelled back at him, clearly fuming. I was shaking slightly and I need some sugar right now. I have low blood sugar and diebetes. I could evenually have to go to the hospital.

"Are you okay?" Jonah asked form behind Xavier.

"Ya, you don't look so good." Xavier reached out an arm to touch me but I jerked back.

"Don't touch me!" I screamed at him.

I quickly stumbled into the ktchen and to the refrigerator. The door flew back and hit the wall, probably making a dent. I spotted a jug of apple juice. As a hurridly unscerwed the cap, I heard Jonah stage whisper, "Holy shit, I think she has low blood sugar or something." No fuck, moron. I thought in my head at him.

I chugged the remaining sips and cradled my head in my hands, trying to get the shaking to leave my body. I took deep breathes as someone rubbed circles into my back. After a cuple minutes, I cooled down and straighted out. Xavier was behind me with a concerned expression.

I pulled in another deep breath and let it out as I said, "Alright, explain everything."

And that's where it ends.... JK, I'm not that mean!

I sat down on the couch a second time, and turned on my listening ears, not that it would help any.

Xavier took in a deep breath and sat his nice looking ass down. Jonah, again, sat down next to him.

Xavier looked at me uneasily. "The thing that attacked you was a vampire. They're not sparkly, vegetarian, civil creatures. They can, and usually will kill you and sip you dry."

"Wait, then why did the guy that attacked me just run away? The thing that you're describing, sounds like a rabid bear." I watched Xavier's hard face as it almost cracked into a smile. Almost.

"That's what we are trying to figure out. Plus, some vampires have a good sense to be afraid of us. We hunt them and right now are trying to hunt down and kill a big cult. It's strange that the one that attacked you just up and left." Jonah's face was scrunched up in thought. "They usually fight for their territory."

"I am not something they can claim," I said indifferently, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Well, the vamps don't care what you think. In their mind, if they even look at someone a certian way, they're their prey." Xavier explained.

I huffed and slouched firther into the chair, when a thought crossed my mind. "Wait, so are there werewolves?" I asked excited, a grin on my face.

"I thought we already went over this, this isn't Twilight." Xavier replied.  I narrowed my eyes at him in a playful way and stuck my tongue out.

"Very mature," he muttered. I chose to ignore his comment.

"Fine, I was hoping I would get my own Jacob Black but now you have ruined my dream." I shook my head at them and looked at them expectently. "Well?"

  "Well, what?" Jonah looked confused.

"There is odviously a back story here, now spill," I told them.

They still looked at me with puzzled expressions on thier faces.

"You know how 'vamps', or whatever you call them, came to be," I elaborated.

"Um, well where do we start? Uh, there was this guy named Alexander. He wanted to find the secret to immortality. He had many followers that would do anything for him. He spent most of his life researching and looking for this secret.

"One night, while doing an ordinary test on a mixture, he gave it to a goat, thinking it was nothing of importance. Later that week, his cousin, a follower, got the goat for dinner. When he started to cut the goat's skin, it mended back together. His cousin told Alexander and they made a girl take the mixture.

"Any injury that she got would be fixed in the time that it was inflicted on her. Little did they know that the goat was starving. He wasn't starving form lack of food, it was blood. The girl named Amy, started to get hungry and fed on Alexander. Right before he died, he took the Mixture and lived. All of his followers took that same mixture and created the first cult. Most of the members from the first cult broke away to form their own groups." Xavier said all of that with a stone cold face.

I did the only thing that I could do in my situation, I started to laugh. I was rolling on the floor, tears streaming down my face, clutching my stomach. Jonah and Xavier me like I was phsyco. Once I was done, I wipped my face and said in between gasps, "I'm sorry, that wasn't funny. I shouldn't have laughed. But to think it all started with a goat!" I started laughing again. I couldn't contain it anymore.

Jonah grinned at me and Xavier sighed with a roll of his eyes. I got up off the ground and brushed my pants off.

"Now that you know about us and vampires, you can't tell anyone," Xavier told me.

"I won't, it's not like they'd believe me. I mean, come on! Vampires, really?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Touche." Jonah yelled form the kitchen. I had a feeling that me and Jonah would get along great. He seems so laid back, unlike Xavier.

"I should probably take you home," Xavier said to me. I nodded and waved a Jonah as I walk out the door with Xavier. My mind didn't process how real the situation was until the ride home. I stared out of the window and thought about how niave everyone in the world is. They have no clue that they could be suked dry on their way home from work or school. A chill ran down my spine. I could have died, I thought to myself. Good thing Jonah and Xavier were there.

As you can see, Lacy has really bad anxiety. She's a spaz and bossy sometimes too, not like me at all. Haha. Sorry if I got anything wrong with the whole blood sugar thing, and I didn't mean to offened anybody if I did.
