Gemma Weasley shared many similarities with her siblings, the ginger hair, pale skin, freckles and a super sense of humour, yet she was the one that stood out from them all. Even her twin. She was different. She wasn't ashamed of her family's past and was the only one of them that stood up for it.
On the first day of school she nearly punched Draco Malfoy down the stairs of Hogwarts for saying her and Ronald's hair was ginger and that they had hand me down clothes.
When she sat on the stool on that 1st of September, she looked out onto the students finding her older brothers in the crowd and Ronald infront of her waiting to be sorted next, she had to close her eyes, she had to concentrate. She had to concentrate because she was the first Weasley to nearly be placed in Slytherin and she begged for a whole five minutes with the hat to not be put in another other house.
She was funny, witty and for that found herself right at home in Gryffindor, Seamus and Dean being the first people she spoke to on that first day and since then being her best friends. Her brother and her were close as well with Harry and Hermionie, spending as much time as she can with them all equally. She felt at home at Hogwarts, she felt happy and safe and nothing could change that feeling.
Nothing until she got messed up into the wrong crowd.
