"Ew why is the bench all wet?" I ask, wiping down the seat next to Harry

"Ew why is the bench all wet?" I ask, wiping down the seat next to Harry.

"Harry decided to spit his drink out when Cho looked back at him." Hermione simply said, not happy by something she was reading in the Daily Prophet.

"Have you seen this?" Hermione says, pushing the newspaper infront of me before I could even grab a piece of toast and process the information about Harry and Cho Chang, a Ravenclaw girl in our year.

A boy like no other, perhaps — yet a boy suffering all the usual pangs of adolescence, writes Rita Skeeter. Deprived of love since the tragic demise of his parents, fourteen year old Harry Potter thought that he had found solace in his steady girlfriend at Hogwarts, Muggle-born Hermione Granger. Little did he know that he would shortly be suffering yet another emotional blow in a life already littered with personal loss.

Miss Granger, a plain but ambitious girl, seems to have a taste for famous wizards that Harry alone cannot satisfy. Since the arrival at Hogwarts of Viktor Krum, Bulgarian Seeker and hero of the last Quidditch World Cup, Miss Granger has been toying with both boys' affections. Krum is openly smitten with the devious Miss Granger, has already invited her to stay with him in Bulgaria over the summer holidays and insists that he has "never felt this way about any other girl."

However, it may not be Miss Granger's doubtful natural charms that have captured these unfortunate young boys' interests.

"She's really ugly," says Pansy Parkinson, a pretty and vivacious fourth year student, "but she'd be well-up to making a Love Potion, she's quite brainy. I think that's how she's doing it."

Love Potions are, of course, banned at Hogwarts, and no doubt Albus Dumbledore will want to investigate these claims. In the meantime, Harry Potter's well-wishers must hope that, next time, he bestows his heart on a worthier candidate.

"Woah he asked you to stay over summer? You didn't tell me that." I say, pushing the newspaper back to her, not amused that she didn't tell me about Krum's advances.

"Is that the only thing you can say about it." She says back annoyed.

"My favourite part was-"

"I don't care Ron." Hermione spits back rolling up the paper and wacking him on his arm.

"Hermione i'm sure she's just got nothing else to write about, honestly don't be disheartened."  I say, taking her hand trying to pick her spirits up. She smiles and takes my hand back, her way of apologising for not telling me about Krum.

"Parcel for you Mr Weasley, and you Miss Weasley." Nigel says, holding two big packages, he passes them over to both me and my brother, still looking at Harry once he had given us our parcels. Hermione cleared her throat sensing Harry was obviously uncomfortable.

"Nigel don't you have stuff to be doing?" I ask awkwardly, trying to get him to go away. Whilst Ronald whispers something too him. He moves off, disheartened, Hermione staring at Ronald for an answer.
