After I shifted back in the morning, I noticed that my own hair had changed to be snow white. I look at my mom.

"What the hell is going on?" I question her as my body shakes slightly.
"I'm not sure, I've never seen something like that happen." She answers quietly. Her voice just sounds like she's uncertain or maybe ashamed of something. My dad stares at me, all of my hair is white, and he looks like he has something on his mind, or like he's about ready to snap at my mother. My brothers all look at my mom through narrowed eyes.
"What is it, Dad?" Confusion and fear laces my voice. He looks pissed off, and anger rolls off him in waves.
"I need to speak with your mother alone. Go to your room." He commands all of us at once, his tone brokering no room for resistance. I go up to my bedroom. I get myself ready for my studies, and as I work on my school work, I hear my parents' voices get louder and louder. I can't make out their words, but they're fighting.

A few hours passed before my dad slammed my door open.
"Pack up your things." He commands lowly.
"What? Why?" I'm surprised by the sudden demand.
"Ask your mother."
"B-but Dad -"
"You don't get to call me that anymore." He growls.
"What do you mean? You're my dad?"
"White fur means a purebred omega. As in both of your parents are Omegas." Wait, what?
"So you're saying -"
"You aren't my daughter." He spits. "Pack up your shit, and leave."
"But where will I go?"
"I don't know, and I don't care." He turns and leaves me alone. My mom cheated on my dad? I'm an affair pup?

I packed up some of my clothes and blankets. I put it all in a backpack and leave through the front door. My half-brothers don't pay any attention, and my mom is nowhere to be found. I wonder if he kicked her out, too. I wander from our house until I run into the sheriff, Jim Hopper.
"What are you doing out here all alone?"
"I-I wasn't sure where to go."
"Where are your parents?"
"My dad kicked me out, and I'm not sure where my mom went."
"Ok, no worries, I'm gonna help you, OK?" I nod. "You're an omega, right?"
"I guess that's what my mom told me."
"Ok, I'm gonna bring you to the station for now, I'll find a place for you to be safe." With that, Hopper takes me to the police station. It takes him a few hours, but he gets a lone alpha named Wayne to take me in. There are a few small families of wolves throughout Hawkins. An older man with a baseball cap and very little hair comes to the station, and he looks to Hopper.
"This must be the girl you called me about."
"Yeah, she is." I stand up, holding my backpack strap tightly.
"I'm Wayne, what's your name, Sweetheart?"
"My name is Athena, Sir." My voice sounds meek even to me.
"Athena? The Greek Goddess of War."
"Yes, Sir, that's who my parents named me after." He nods contemplatively.
"Well, come on, let's get you home so that you can settle in." I follow Wayne out to his truck. An older square body. It's not the worst truck I've ever seen. "I honestly don't know if my nephew will be at the house. He kinda comes and goes depending on when his dad is in town. He's nice. You two will probably get along well." I nod. How would he know if we would get along?
