Running out of time

Chapter 2

Alby stepped behind the new boy and spoke in his ear, "Welcome to the glade."

"Such a nice welcome indeed!" Regulus snapped sarcastically.

Everyone started to move away, Ada marched over to the tall boy and place a comforting hand on his shoulder not noticing Newts jealous gaze as he waits for her.

"Awe he's jealous" Pandora cooed looking at her son lovingly.

"Why would he be jealous! It's not like there a couple or anything!" Regulus snapped at his best friend who just smiled at him in a knowingly way while his future wife nodded in agreement to him.

"Hey, don't stress, you're new and this is a lot to take in. Gally may seem like a dick, but he's been here for a long time and is protective over all of us even you, because now you're a glader, your family." Ada gave him a big hug. The greenie seemed comfortable with her and hugged her back tightly.

"Who the fuck does she get this sweetheart personality from? Because Reg isn't like that and his baby mama looks like she would kill someone for breathing the same air as her!" Sirius speaks a little too loud...

"Hey! You can talk to me how ever you want but don't talk about Tabitha as if she's some horrible human person!" Snaps Regulus.

Though she would never admit it, it seemed Regulus wasn't the worst person she could have a child with.

"You may want to go to Newt before he kills me with his glare." Green bean chuckled at the obviously jealous blonde, Ada turns to like at Newt and loughs loudly before muttering a quick goodbye to him and running into Newts awaiting arms.

The camera changes to a close up on Newt and Ada. Both smiling giddily at one another. "Why are you staring the new greenie down?" She giggles at her favorite blonde who flushed a crimson red and shyly stares at the grass. "Just want him to know that you need to be respected and not treated like some toy." Ada awes to herself, she loved this boy but didn't want to say anything because although she could make him blush, she knew he wouldn't feel the same way as her. "You don't need to worry about me Newt, I'm tough." She speaks with a soft voice making Newt a visible swoon, kissing her lightly on her head and taking a hold of her checks. "You're the toughest person I know, but that doesn't mean I won't try and protect you." Ada leans up and kisses his cheek before running away giggling making Newt stare longingly at her as she runs away with his face still shining with red.

"AWE!! They are so cute Barty! You better treat me like that in the future." Marlene says.

"Why would I treat you less than the goddess you are?" Barty asks genuinely confused.

The screen changes to show the Gladers lighting up torches and standing around a bonfire pit.

"Light em up!" Alby ordered and all of them threw the torches into the pit, making a fire light up. The bonfire started to burn, and the Gladers started yelling in celebration.

"It's nice that they have each other" smiles Pandora

The scene changed to show the Gladers doing different things around the bonfire. Frypan was shown with another boy, yelling and holding a glass fill of Gallys drink.

Ada was dancing with chuck, laughing and twirling around, Newt was watching her fondly as Minho slapped the back of his head jokingly.

Marlene laughed at her son along with Barty.
Both Regulus and Tabitha glare at the screen

The screen went back to Chuck and Ada dancing together.

"Hey Ada?" Chuck was desperately wanting to ask his older sister a question.
