Walking out of the large service building, I looked around the camping ground. Right in the middle, there was a large bonfire place with a few benches around it. All around the center there were 10 buildings. I assumed that I was going to be in the tenth as it was written on the rusty key that the woman at the counter had given me. The building seemed to be a little more far off than the others. „Great" I thought „perfect for someone to just murder me and get away with it."As I walked up to the small looking shed, I noticed the lights were on. So, I knocked on the door a few times. After the 3rd knock, the door started to slightly open with a creek, then open completely. On the other side of the door, there stood a boy. He looked tired, with bags under his eyes and his pj's on. It seemed like he had just rolled out of bed. When he looked at me, he raised his eyebrows and asked: „Who are you again?" „I'm Alexander,or better, Alex. I'm supposed to be your new roommate... I think?" I replied. He broke eye contact, looked to the side and narrowed his eyebrows. Then he gasped and looked up at me again. „Shit that's right! The tutors told me to clean the shed! I kinda forgot though... hold on." He slightly closed the door and I heard papers and clothes being moved. Then I heard him sigh and the door creek open. „Sorry dude! It's a mess. Your beds on the left." He fully opened the door and I could finally look inside. It really was a tiny shed. There were two loft beds with desks and chairs underneath, and a small wooden closet next to each of them. One side was clearly already occupied, with beddings and pillows on the bed, clothes in the closet and various stuff like paper and pens on the desk. The other side was empty, well almost, since there were some clothes scattered around the floor. „Alright! This doesn't seem too bad I guess." I remarked, trying to make him feel better about the mess he had left for me. „I should probably introduce myself. I'm Ollie, nice to meet ya." he greeted. „Ollie? That's a cool name." I held my hand out to his. „ Thanks dude I picked it out myself." he responded, taking my hand and shaking it. „Wait what? You picked your own name?" I questioned. „Yeahhhh long story." „That's cool dude."I reassured him. „Alright so, there's a communal bathroom with showers right across from us and another communal bathroom with toilets just next to that. Just so you know."he explained. „Man...I really hoped for a personal bathroom or something like that..." I mumbled. But then I laughed." Tch what did I expect from a summer camp?" „Yeah it's not that great at first but you'll get used to it." Ollie sympathized. We both giggled.
„So, I guess I'll let you unpack for now. I could also explain the routine to you if you'd like." he continued.
„Yeah that'd be great. But... how long have you been here to know the routine?" I wondered.
He looked frozen when I said that. Something about his face changed for a split second. „Uhm I've been here before. It's not that hard to memorize."he disclosed.
„Oh alright. So? What's the routine?" I asked as I hung up some of my T-shirt's in my closet.
„So the routine is:
1. The tutors come in every morning at 7am to wake us up
2. We need to be ready with all our stuff for the day at 8am
3. We meet at the bonfire spot every morning and get ready to go on the trip that was announced the day before
4. At around 4pm we're back and have free time until 6pm
5. From 6:15pm till 7pm there's dinner
6. After that we have free time again
7. Bedtimes at 9pm"
He explained. „Also they do room checkups every weekend. And instead of eating breakfast of lunch they give us packs of food to take on the trips. In your free time you can do whatever, just don't leave the camping area, you will get scolded." he added. „Thanks for explaining Ollie. Woa is that a Sally face poster?!" I beamed. Indeed it was. Right above his desk, there hung a poster with the blue haired main character of the indie horror game Sally face. „Dude I freaking love that game!" I gushed. Sometimes, I just can't hold myself back when someone mentions one of my special interests, or whatever they call it. „Yeah man! It's one of my favorites too."he answered, now looking more relaxed than before. „Dudeeeee I should've brought posters too!" I cried." It's whatever though I'll just make my own." I finished unpacking my stuff pretty quickly, since I didn't really bring much. „Rad! Come on, I'll show you around the camp ground."Ollie stated.
„Alright then."
