Previously in Episode 2/Chapter 2, Electra and Aisha transformed into Enchantix. They faced Tritannus and suffered serious defeat. Since their Enchantix powers aren't as effective underwater as on land, the eight girls decided to go back to Alfea to do some research on a new underwater transformation.
The interplanetary device portal opened.
"Ah, Alfea!" Stella sighed.
Headmistress Faragonda greeted the girls at the front gate. "Welcome, girls!" she said cordially. "And welcome to Alfea, Roxy! What brings you here?"
"We just want to do some research on a new transformation," Aisha replied.
"Because our Enchantix powers aren't as powerful underwater as they are on Earth," Bloom added.
"Well, you're welcome to come in. The Hall of Enchantments is at your disposal," the headmistress replied.
The girls walked into the room.
"The book we're looking for isn't in here," Musa said.
Electra closed her eyes. "Enchantix Vision!" A vision appeared.
"What's she doing?" Flora asked.
A ladybug flew over Electra's head, then showed Tecna what it saw. "According to my Psychic Beetle Assistant, Electra is in a state of trance, but she's still conscious," she observed.
"What does that mean?" Stella asked, confused.
"It means that Electra is receiving a vision," Aisha explained.
"I got it!" Electra exclaimed as she opened her eyes. "Girls, we need to visit the Magic Archive. That's where we can find the book we're looking for."
Electra, Tecna, and Aisha walked into the archive. Concorda flew down and welcomed them. "How may I help you?" she asked.
"We need to find the Sirenix book," Tecna replied. "It's the only book that can tell us about the Sirenix transformation."
Concorda flew up to one shelf, sprinkled pixie dust on a book, and lowered it to Tecna. "Here you are, girls," she said. "The Sirenix book is yours."
"Thanks, Concorda!" Aisha called as she, Tecna, and Electra walked out of the archive.
Back in the Hall of Enchantments, Bloom, Stella, Flora and Musa were waiting for the other girls to arrive from the archive.
Electra ran in excitedly. "Girls! We found the Sirenix book!" she exclaimed.
"That's great news!" Flora replied.
"Where's Roxy?"
"She's in class."
"Okay. We'll talk to her later. But for now, we have to open this book."
"But how?"
Aisha waved her hand to a bookshelf, bringing a book down. She turned the pages. "It says here that the Challenge of Graynor is the only way we can unlock the Sirenix book," she said.
"Then that's what we need to do!" Bloom replied. "Let's go!"
(Author's note: This chapter will be shorter than the rest of the book because this is the prelude to Chapter 4, where the challenge will take place.)
In the next episode/chapter, the girls take on the Challenge of Graynor. Tritannus will be ready to attack, and they will need all their strength against him. The quest for Sirenix begins. Will the girls succeed, or will they lose their powers forever?
