New to love

I stared at him in absolute shock, tears streaming down my face. He... he hit me... W-we were having an argument, a-and I pushed him, a-and he... slapped me. His eyes widened when he realised what he had done.

"A-arin... O-oh my God.. I.. I'm so sorry.."

He reached up to touch my cheek, but I slapped his hand away. I grabbed my coat and ran out of the house. Running as fast as my legs could carry me. It was raining. Hard. I was thinking of a place I could go, so I ran to a park that I happened to pass by. I sat under the slide and cried for a while. Things couldn't have escalated any worse.

It had started when I was sitting down on the couch, texting Suzy about what video we could do for our fans, and it seemed that Dan had grown quite impatient. "Arin, why do you keep talking to her? I understand that we made up with her and you're her video buddy or whatever but... I feel like you're loosing feelings for me." I looked at him with shock.
"Why the hell would you say that?! She's our friend Dan! I can't only talk to her when we need to record something! Jesus Danny!"

His face turned from concern to anger, and I hesitated for a moment, but stood with my pride.
"Arin, look! I love you! We are in a relationship! Sometimes, someone in a relationship can get suspicious! Why am I not allowed to feel that way?!!" Both of us were standing up by now, Danny's eyes watering. "You know me better! Why on earth would you get suspicious of me?! Do you honestly not trust me? Is that it?!" Danny's face softens for a moment, but you could still see his anger. He went to grab my hand. "NO!" I screamed. I ended up pushing him, I guess it was the heat of the moment that caused his hand to lift up and slap me across the face. And now we're here. Me. Crying. Under a slide. My cheek still burned by the slap. "Why?" I whispered. Suddenly, I heard a yell.

"ARINN WHERE ARE YOUUU?! IM SO SORRY ARIN!!" Sobs escaped out of his mouth, but I remained under the slide in silence. I didn't want to speak. Twenty minutes had passed and it was still raining, not as much as before though, and soon enough he looked through the park. He found me, umbrella in hand, kneeling down to look at me. His eyes were still red from crying. "A-arin.... honey... Im so sorry, p-please forgive me." Tears started streaming down his face again. I looked down, still remaining silent. "I can't loose you Arin!" My eyes widen and I stare at him, eyes full of tears, yet a glimmer of happiness. I put both hands on both sides of his cheeks, now I was the one crying. I leaned my face in, closer and closer, our lips were just touching. I paused for a moment, then kissed him. His eyes had closed and my eyes as well. When we let go of our kiss, Danny's eyes had fluttered open.

"I can't loose you either Danny" I said. He grinned yet again, tears still rolling down his face. "Arin!" He hugged me while crying harder. I hugged him back. "I'll never hit you again, my love." He sobbed. "And I will never treat you like that again, my love." We stayed there, with the umbrella over our heads as the sky cried with rain. After a while we walked home together, hand in hand, not caring of what other people had thought about us.

I guess Danny and I were both. New to love.
