I spent the next hour staring aimlessly at the wall. I felt my head bursting with so many questions, all without answers. What will our life be like now? Will Vanya be closed all the time? Did we really stop the apocalypse?

I couldn't answer a single question.

I tried to think about each of these issues, but my thoughts immediately took a different direction.

Five. But every thought about him ended in the same way.

In a dead end. Darkness.

I shook my head and cursed under my breath. I got up from the bed and looked carefully at the door. They didn't even move.

I was becoming paranoid, thinking that Five was standing outside the door, watching my every move and expecting me to jump out the window at any moment.

I turned around and looked at myself in the mirror. I had dark circles under my eyes, my hair was quite messy and my hospital gown was wrinkled.

'I can't leave it like this' I thought and immediately moved towards the bathroom.

Once inside, I slammed the door behind me and locked it. Grimacing slightly, I took off all my clothes. I looked at the dressing in the mirror. Only now did I realize how big the wound was. It stretched from the left hip to the very center of the stomach and ended just above the navel. The bandage was square, but the outline of the stitches was visible to the naked eye.

I stepped into the shower, ignoring the fact that the dressing probably wasn't waterproof. In the vanity above the sink I had everything I needed to bandage myself.

I shuddered as I felt the cool stream of water on my back and started scrubbing my sore body.

After a few minutes, I turned off the tap. I felt drops running down my arms. I shivered and wrapped myself in a towel, gathering my wet hair and wrapping it in a tight bun. I dried myself and my eyes fell on the academy uniform hanging on the radiator.

Immediately after putting a fresh bandage on the wound, I put on the outfit I had prepared earlier. Suddenly I heard a knock on the bathroom door.

I stopped hearing the splashing of the water against the shower surface.

'I'll give her a moment to get dressed,' I thought.

After five minutes, I hesitantly raised my hand. Why was it so difficult? I should have teleported inside immediately without waiting for her invitation. So why couldn't I bring myself to do it?

I made a fist and rapped it twice on the wood. I didn't hear anything. Not even a sigh.

'She doesn't want to look at you.'
