"Stay close, Tom

"Stay close, Tom. The markets are filled with smugglers." Zara says. Tom nods. "I caught one stealing a droid once," Tom looks around the market.

They approach a stand selling food. Zara hands the vendor two coins. The vendor gives them a single fruit. "Two coins won't get you much these days," The vendor explains. Zara catches sight of stormtroopers patrolling the market.

"There must be something you can do," She leans in a whisper.  "I wish I could help, but even if I did, you know those stormtroopers over there would arrest me," The vendor also whispers. "What's all this commotion?" A stormtrooper asks, grabs Zara's shoulder. "Nothing. As you can see here, my customers over here are just on their way," The vendor warns Zara with a nod to scurry along. "We'll be on our way, then," Zara withdraws.

The stormtrooper's attention turns to a group of rebels that begin causing an uproar. The rebels chant, "We want democracy!" and cause a commotion in the marketplace. "Send me more troopers here, there is uproar in the northern side of the market," A stormtrooper says over the intercom of his helmet. "Let's go, quickly," Zara covers her head with a cloak. "These rebels just won't give up," Tom says.

Uproars were not uncommon, as the planet was occupied by Imperial forces, which meant that the Empire had its stormtroopers patrolling its every crevice. Soon, a high-ranking Imperial commander, Commander Dodonna, walks into the market accompanied by more stormtroopers. "Put this out before Commander Vader gets here," Commander Dodonna orders.

Zara and Tom bump past panicked marketgoers, trying to escape before things turn ugly.  They get stuck in the mob of marketgoers trying to escape the market and the surge of incoming rebels. The stormtroopers begin crowd control, grabbing as many rebels as they can get. One of the stormtroopers mistakenly grabs Zara.

"Zara isn't a rebel, unhand her!" Tom says. "You're coming with us on suspicion of being a rebel," The stormtrooper says over the intercom of his helmet. "Just go, I'll be fine. I'll clear out my name as soon as I can," Zara says with the stormtrooper still grabbing her arm in arrest. "You can't do that, you're not a rebel! They're going to send you to a rebel jail." Tom refuses.

"Do as I say, Tom. I'll be right back—" "That's what father said, and he never returned," Tom shakes his head. "I promise I will return once I've cleared my name," Zara says. "What is taking so long, trooper?" Commander Dodonna asks.

"Sir, if I may, I believe that we are mistaken about these two being rebels," The stormtrooper holding Zara releases her. "Are you here to take orders or to give suggestions?" Dodonna's wrinkled face frowns. "I was mistaken, commander. I know rebels when I see them, and these kids aren't," The stormtrooper bravely continues.
