--- Start of Chapter ---
A certain sound reached my ears, unintentionally waking me up. Slowly opening my eyes, I rubbed them a bit before pulling my body away from the table, stretching them a bit.
Then, I cracked my knuckles before doing the same to my neck. It was satisfying.
Anyway, I lifted my gaze to a certain item hanging on the wall.
"It's already 6, huh..."
I yawned while covering my mouth before closing it, ending the yawn as I placed my sleeve near my eyes to sweep away the almost-got-out-yawn-tears. Anyway, as I was doing all of this, the sound kept on going albeit still faintly.
"She's still awake like usual, huh..."
For a moment, I took a look around me and finally noticed that I had fallen asleep in the living room, rather than my beautiful and soft bed.
(No wonder the surface feels hard...)
Standing from my spot, I walked toward the kitchen before grabbing a glass of warm water and drinking it.
(Now that's better...)
After that, I walked around the kitchen to see if there were any ingredients left for me to make breakfast with.
Long story short, there weren't.
Just kidding.
There were actually some left.
Haha, did I get you?
Hahaha...
....I suck at jokes.
Anyway, I grabbed another glass of warm water and walked out of the kitchen, heading toward the hallway. As I arrived, I could hear that the sound was louder this time. So, I just paid it no mind and made my way toward the second room from my spot.
After I got there, I stood still for a bit before covering another yawn. Then, I knocked on the door.
For a few seconds, there wasn't any response except the on-going sound that kept continuing without any sign of stopping.
(Hm.... Oh well, might as well.)
"I'm going in."
I said as I unlocked the doorknob---Only to see a messy and dark room.
"..."
(Same as usual, huh.)
Another sigh left my mouth before I took my gaze away from the floor and toward the source of the sound that had been going on for the last few minutes.
A little figure with bright green hair was messing around on the computer, it seemed like a cabbage.
"Hey."
I called out to it, and it stopped moving. Then, it turned its head around to look at me.
"Where's she?"
It took a few seconds to process what I asked before finally jumping from the table, making a flashy landing with a hero pose, and walking toward a mountain made out of books before stopping right beside it.
"Ah, I see. Thanks, Mini-chan."
It nodded its head before walking out of the room, passing beside me.
In turn, I walked toward the mountain of books before crouching next to it.
"Ai-chan of the mountain, are you there?"
There was no response.
"Ai-chan of the books, are you there?"
There was, yet again, no response.
