Shubman looked back and forth at Ishan and the map after which he realized that they were royally fucked. The young alpha just wanted to enjoy this little camp trip in the Hermit’s Wood of South Africa, that he had managed to convince Surya after a long session of persuasion. After the successful T20i with the team, they were told that they could spend two days in leisure after which they'll have to start preparing for the upcoming test series.

Both Ishan and Shubman had been searching up campsites for a while now, and having found a perfect one in South African land with a campsite set beside a grove of tall trees, with a backdrop of Rhino Peak, they thought it would have been the perfect use of the two days holiday. The tour company said that if you could walk to Mermaid’s Pool, the river becomes a narrow, fast-flowing torrent that carves between rocks to form cool gullies. It was apparently a bewildering scenery and both the boys had decided their minds to see it together.

Ishan's smaller frame almost latched onto Sky, who was questioning his own sanity at this shocking demand. He didn't trust these two clowns alone, that too in a forest area and spending a night away in a strange land? He was supposed to be responsible for their safety, but at this point they were going to get him in trouble by either drowning or getting an animal to attack them.

“I can understand that Shubman is an alpha, he'll somehow manage. Ishan you are an omega, mera baccha! What if you get lost there? What if an animal attacks?”

Ishan whined at that, he hated being discriminated against just because of his subgender! He was a goddamn man of mid twenties, he could protect himself as much as Shubman could! Also in case he couldn't, he had Shubman! He mentally blushed a little, imagining Shubman actually being his alpha, taking care of him and nurturing him like he deserved. It hurt knowing Shubman probably didn't feel the same way about him like he did.

“That's bullshit Surya Bhai! Please let us go, I promise I'll take care of this midget and myself! It's a protected area, there's no rogue animal there! We'll just spend one night, enjoy the forest thrills and come back the next day. Please please allow na!”

Surya sighed heavily, and looking between both the stubborn boys, he decided it was better for his mental health that he allowed them. They wouldn't let him be until he did and what could one night of fun harm? They rarely got to enjoy camping because of the constant matches. Being so young, they deserved to relax a little. Also, Surya could very well sense the complex tension that was clearly going on between the young alpha and the shorter omega, maybe they'd sort them out in private.

“Fine, you can go. But if y'all die and don't come back, I'm giving your places to Ruturaj and Tilak in the team.”

Ishan and Shubman laughed loudly and both kissed Surya on his both cheeks, before running away as soon as the elder alpha cringed and almost hit them with his bat. They had to go and pack for the camp trip, neither of them could hold their excitement within. They ran to their rooms, separate this time unfortunately as Yashasvi had been paired with Gill and Tilak with Ishan according to the new room arrangements.

“Ugh, why can't we stay together! That rude bastard doesn't even let me use the washroom first!”

Shubman groaned as Ishan giggled, sitting in his own bed where the clothes were scattered. He too, wanted to stay with Shubman, as they usually did but the coach said it was something to do with the new team bonding. He liked Tilak so it wasn't bothersome but Gill and Jaiswal didn't really get on well.

“So…we are finally going camping Shubi…alone.”

Ishan trailed off and Shubman looked up at him, his dimples coming out as he smiled a little.
