Taylor's POV
travis opened the door for me and i walked in giving him a smile.
"here let me take your jacket" travis said leaning forward to help me take it off
"thanks" i said giving it to him
he walked over to a closet and put my jacket on a hanger before closing it and turning back to me.
"do u wanna grab something to eat from the kitchen?" he said
"sure" i said without noticing that i was still smiling
we headed towards the kitchen
"i'm not gonna lie, i had nothing in my fridge to eat because im not a good cook so i got some stuff earlier today. we can make something if u want" he said nervously
"u can't cook?" i said while laughing
"um i can make a sandwich and that's pretty much it." he said in embarrassment
"well when i leave today you'll know how to make one more thing. let's see what u got." i said while walking towards to fridge
"i have no idea what i got but u can take a look i guess" he said
i opened the fridge and bursted in laughter
"what's so funny" he asked
"you put a frozen pizza in the fridge" i said in between breathes
"where is it supposed to go?" he asked genuinely
"i hope you're joking right now" i said while making a concerned face at him
"uhh definitely. it goes in the....." he said
"in the freezer" i said
"right right i was gonna say that" he said
"sure you were" i said while moving the pizza to the freezer
"you have some stuff that we could put together and maybe make something out of" i said while staring inside the fridge still
"alright well u just tell me what to do" he said
"ok can u grab some cutting boards and bowls" i said while taking stuff out of the fridge
he grabbed the boards and bowls and then he grabbed some knives. he put them on the table and washed his hands after i did.
"do you have aprons?" i asked
"i do! i actually have a lot of them even though i don't cook. do you want the one with my face on it?" he asked with a big smile
"hmmm let me see which ones u have" i said knowing that i would probably take that one
he walked me over to the pantry and we walked towards the corner of it when he opened a cabinet and it had at least ten aprons hanging in it. i looked through them and started laughing when i saw it.
"it actually has only ur face on it. i'll definitely take that one" i said while giggling
travis laughed and then took it out for me. i put it over my head and then he took one out that was just red. we walked back into the kitchen and started making food. he helped me by cutting all the stuff i told him to and then i started making the sauce.
"do you have tomato paste" i asked
"yea it's in the cabinet next to the stove" he said while focusing on cutting the lettuce
"ok thanks" i said
i turned around and opened the cabinet he said it was in. i looked around and then saw it was on the top shelf where i couldn't reach. i got on my tippy toes but i still couldn't grab it. i huffed and then sighed in defeat
"trav can you grab it for me i can't reach." i said
he laughed before saying sure and reaching over and grabbing it. he came extra close to me when reaching for it that i could smell his natural musk. it smelt cozy and nice which i liked a lot. he grabbed it and brought it back down and put it between us.
"here" he said
i could feel his warm breath on my face and i knew my stomach was flipping in so many ways in that moment.
"thanks" i said with a smile before turning away from the tension between us. we continued cooking again before i asked him to take out some jars that we needed. one had a spice in it that i needed for the sauce. i took it off of the table and tried opening it. it wasn't opening. what do i do? i cant ask him again because it'll look like i cant do anything myself. i tried harder and didnt notice he was staring at me.
"you need some help with that" he asked with a grin
"no i'm capable of opening it myself thanks" i said while focused on the jar still
"if u say so" he said while still watching me
he watched me for another minute as i struggled to open it. i made a loud noise before handing it to him.
"can u open this" i said in a quiet voice
"what was that?" he asked knowing exactly what i said
"can u please open this for me" i said in a slightly louder voice
"still can't hear u" he said teasingly
"can u help me with this please" i said in a very loud voice
he started laughing and took the jar from me. he opened it in less than a second using absolutely no strength whatsoever. i stared with my jaw dropped. he laughed at me again and handed it back.
"i loosened it for u" i said defensively
"oh yes definitely" he said knowing he was lying
we both laughed and continued cooking for a while before it was finally done. we ate at the table after he complimented how good the food looked. we talked for a bit at the table before we put all the dishes away finally. he said he could do it himself because it's his house but i refused so we cleaned up together.
"let me show you around before we get to the actual planned stuff" he said while leading me down a hall.
i walked with him with our hands constantly brushing past each other once again. he pointed out the living room and some of the bedrooms before he stopped in front of one.
"oh i almost forgot. give me one second" he said before stepping into the room
he came back a minute later with two bracelets in his hand
"your gift" he said while smiling and handing them to me
i looked at both of them and read them. one had a bunch of numbers which i can slightly recall as his phone number. the other said trav and it looked so cute.
"oh my god these are so nice. thanks trav" i said with a genuine smile
"i think ill keep the original one in my pocket so nobody gets ur number when i'm wearing it in public." i said while slipping the one that said trav on my wrist.
it fit perfectly as if it was made just for me. we continued walked down a hall before i was the one to stop this time.
"oh my god you have a piano?" i asked with my mouth hung open
"yeah but i don't know how to play it. it's just kind of there for decoration." he said while scratching the back of his head
"can i teach you?" i asked intriguingly
"yeah but im not sure it even works" he said while laughing
"well we can find out." i say with a big smile
we walk into the room and i open up the piano cover and play a couple of random notes while standing just to see if it works. it definitely does work and it's so pretty too. i need to add this to my collection asap
"here i can teach u a song. which one do u wanna learn?" i ask him
a smile grows on his face and i get confused
"can you teach me daylight by taylor swift?" he said while flashing me with his shiny pearls.
i start laughing and go completely red.
"i think i know that one pretty well let's do it. sit down on the bench and i can show u" i said
he sits down and i cant help but notice how small the seat was.
"do u wanna sit and i can just lean over?" he asked
"no that's ok i think it's better if i stand so you get in the proper position to play." i say with a smile
he silently agrees with a nod
"so where do i start" he asked
"put your hands right here" i say while i moved his hands
i felt the spark the moment our hands touched right now because it wasn't like we just moved them past each other. my hands were completely on top of his and i could feel my heart beating faster. after a while im not gonna lie my back started to ache. i was leaning over completely and i think travis could tell. he didn't say anything though so i didn't either. a couple more minutes went by of me reaching over him in silence until i felt myself about to topple over. this time travis definitely saw and in one swift movement he put his arm around my waist and put me on his lap. i could feel my cheeks heating up but he luckily couldn't see them. i looked behind at him with a smile that he returned back. we continued playing until he got the hang of the song.
"so if i play the notes, with you guiding me of course, u think u can sing the lyrics?" he asked
"hmm i think i can do that" i said playfully
he smiled and started playing as i started to sing. we went through the whole song and we both smiled the whole time. at the end there was a little bit of tension in the air as i got to the last line. after i finished the lyrics there were a couple more notes to play and after that we looked at each other and i smiled like i've never smiled before. he smiled back but this time there was a different sparkle in his eye. almost like he was nervous. but then it happened. he put one hand on my back and the other on my knee. we both started to lean in and i place my hand on his cheek as we finally locked lips and i could feel sparks fly for sure. it was like i felt the fireworks i've been waiting for my whole life. the kiss wasn't intimate though, it was short and sweet. we pulled away and smiled again.
"are you ready for the best part" he said after
"as ready as i can be!" i said
we got up and walked down another hall. our hands brushed once again but this time he picked up my hand and placed a kiss on my knuckles as we walked. he pulled our hands back down and they interlocked. we walked down another hall and then he stopped in front of double doors. oh please don't be his room. please don't be his roommmm. as much as i like him i don't want to have sex on the first date. i got nervous before he opened the doors and he could tell. he squeezed my hand and opened the doors. it was a movie room thank god. we walked to the middle row of the three rows of couches and i didn't notice it at first until travis looked at it. there was a basket with a bunch of stuff in it. so. much. candy.
"oh my god travis this is so cute i love it." i said genuinely
he smiled at me and sat next to the basket on the opposite side i sat on. he watched as i looked through the basket and pulled out my favorites.
"what's your favorite" i asked travis while still rummaging through the basket
"hm probably airheads" he said
"that's disgusting" i responded even though i was still taking it out for him
he laughed and i finally took the blanket out of the basket and took it out of the packaging. i put the basket on the ground and moved next to travis. i unfolded the blanket and put it on us while travis used his phone to dim the lights. he turned on the projector and we looked for a movie for a while before deciding on trolls. the movie started and i opened one of the candy bags. i took a piece and then offered some to travis who took one piece too. around ten minutes later i readjusted myself and ended up a little bit closer to travis than i was before. a minute after that he put his arm around me and brought me closer to him. i put my head on his chest and my hand a little lower than my head on his stomach. we stayed like that for the rest of the movie.

Travis POV
taylor was laying on my chest and she couldn't see me but i kept looking down at her pretty golden locks. half way through the movie i moved my hand from around her to on her head. i started to lightly play with her hair and twirl it around my fingers. i didn't notice until the end but she fell asleep on me. when the credits started to roll i called her name but she didn't wake up so i placed a kiss on her head. she started to stir a little and then opened her eyes slightly confused.
"the movies over tay" i said
"huh?" she said while looking around
i laughed before rubbing my hand up and down her back. she laid back down on me and closed her eyes again. i let out a chuckle before she took a deep breath in and finally got up.
"what time is it" she asked while rubbing her eyes
"it's 11 now" i said
"shit shit shit i told security 10" she said while quickly getting up and scrambling to get her stuff
she was moving around so fast that she almost fell but i caught her.
"hey it's okay i'm sure they'll understand. and it's their job to wait for you so it'll be okay. take your time." i said while having my hands on both of her arms
she sighed and nodded her head along with giving me a smile. she grabbed her candy as i folded the blanket and turned off the screen. we headed out and stopped by the front door.
"i had a lot of fun today thank you" taylor said while looking up at me
"me too. it sucks you're only here today but ill see you as soon as i can." i said back to her
"like a date?" she said with a grin
"like a date." i said
both of us laughed at the reference to our messages. i opened the door and held out my hand. by the look on her face she definitely forgot i said i would always walk to her car. she smiled and took my hand as we walk out. we walked in silence but it was a comfortable silence not awkward. when we reached her car i opened the door for her and placed a kiss on her cheek before i let her get in.
"let me know when u reach your hotel" i said while leaning down into the car
"okay bye" she said while smiling big
"bye taylor" i said before shutting her door closed
i walked back to the house and waited until her car was out of sight before closing my door. i went upstairs and changed into pajamas before sliding into bed. what a night. my phone buzzed and i picked it up to see it was a text from taylor
TS: i made it to the hotel
TK: perfect
TK: goodnight
TS: goodnight :)
I closed my phone and fell asleep a few minutes later.
