MISHTI’S POINT OF VIEW

My life was perfect. I am sure not many would say the same in this world but I was happy with the way I was living it. FASHION DESIGNING was my dream and I have established myself as a fashion designer.

Wait! If you ask me to talk about my job then I can talk about it for years because that’s much how I love it. “MERA” As it refers to mine in the Hindi Language and also a little related to my best friend’s Name Meera.

Yes, For 20 years she was the only family I had growing up in an orphanage. No tragedies because those days have passed. Yes, I passed so far that I grew up in an orphanage and now, I own an orphanage.

Still we can’t forget our roots… I can never forget how Meera motivated me to be who I am today starting from stealing the GQ magazines and helping me make dresses out of the papers we used to write those boring tests.

When she heard people bully me at school saying “Your own family abandoned you” she made sure they suffered by stealing their projects or classwork as much as it was a dirty job which she pulled out. I still was so glad to have a friend so selfless like her.

I think that’s enough about my friend right. Last but not the least Meera’s family treated me as their own family member as well. After her death from her adventures trip in the Mt. Everest Hiking due to the high snow fall when she went on her solo trip. They have considered me as their own daughter but yes I can definitely not replace her.

Did I go into too many boring stories….???

“Hannah, The last order was delivered to the customer right?” I asked my saleslady.

“Yes, Ma’am.”

She’s really been so helpful to me.

“Also a bride… I mean what’s her name-” I was interpreted by her.

“I got it covered. I called her and asked her to come for the trials.”

I nod, “That model… He asked for the customized suit. Can you check with the tailor and update me on the progress.”

She gives the coolest expression, “It is complete and I asked Mr. Abir to come if he is free today to check with it.”

I will be so glad if he just sends his assistant here. I just end up having a little too unpleasant crowd in the name of being his fans at my store. Not just that I can’t stand up to all my staff ogling at him.

Whatever…

“Make a call to his assistant and just ask him to come here to collect the suit. Any corrections Mister Abir can convey through him or rather just attach a photo of those imperfections as a mail to us.”

She nods and goes there to follow my instructions. I take that time to re-arrange certain suits and lehengas in the store. I finally get the time to move to my designer hall in the store filled with fabrics and my lucky human sized doll which helps me to manage my stuff better.

I pull out my sketch and then the fabrics and start with the new designer customized frocks. This should be done by this week by me so my tailor units can take over with the end stitchings.

I hear a knock on the door and as expected it is Hannah, “Yes.”

“Ma’am, I spoke to Abir’s assistant and he says Abir himself will coke as they need the corrections also to be done by today itself if any.”

Then no one can help me from having him in my store. Woah.

“Okay! Before lunch I have a meeting with our investors. So, you take care of that if he comes before that.“ Luckily the meeting is online, If not I should have gone to my top investors office in Mumbai from Delhi. Sometimes I hate traveling alone but again I do love to travel to new places to grow my business.
