MISHTI'S POINT OF VIEW

Groaning, I stretch my limbs across my twin bed, recalling the events of last night. What I did. What he did.

Maybe it was all just a terrible dream. Or more of a nightmare.

Half was a beautiful dream... The engagement turned into something more legal and from there... Certain flashes of something I have never lived with a strong headache ruined my happy dreams.

I shake my legs and rotate my feet. Forcing myself up, I place both feet down while seated, testing it out some more.

I don't wanna start my day with a rough memory and a strong headache. I go back to the moments that indeed seemed pleased between my husband and me. I sure as believe he did fool me with some papers and made sure I sign a deal as his wife. My face flushes just remembering what happened between us.

Crap! Crap! Crap!

I force myself to the shower and slowly strip my clothes off before getting in. The water is hot, it makes me feel warm and refreshed. I don't know whether Abir is still here or ran away spending his night on a cold floor.

Once I'm done, I step out and dry off, brushing my hair as I let the blow-dryer whisp through each strand. With a quick touch of makeup and leaving my hair free to wave, I was ready to move out.

On the way to the living room I could hear a woman's voice saying, "Oh my god, you are definitely aging like a fine wine. The abs are so cool man." The way the voice is sounding seductive makes me look around to find the unexpected vision for my eyes. I spot him on my couch fucking shirtless. And to add on, he's video calling with a woman... peep in no women I can find at least five on the screen standing behind the couch.

A powerful shot of jealousy shoots through me, and long before I have a chance to think it through, I spin on my heels and walk in front of him. I want to say it's easy, but it seems that every female before me is ogling my man.

My man.

Nope. Abir is not my man.

He's just a man who is going to steal a year of my life when I could be out looking for the one...

Screw my brain... he's still glued to his screen not even noticing me standing here.

"Oh, regarding my engagement it went really well with Mishti." That's when he makes sure to realize my existence while he lifts his head to catch my eyes.

"It will be nice if you can get out-"

"I was saying right, I have got a demanding Wi.. Fiancee..."

It's like him calling me to take his life. I'll kill my man... I mean this man.

"Whatever is your profession, keep it outside the house, never bring you modeling charming looks in front of me, Idiot." All he does is chuckle.

"Does that mean you are naked behind the screens...." I can laugh a lot of laughter from that video call but I still can't be relieved of the fact that his camera is off because I have a woman out there bringing the word that is meant to be kept confidential in between the rooms. Naked really...

"No just shirtless and you better focus on keeping some professionality, Bit.. I mean fool." I really don't wanna call her a bitch and then show my husband... I am possessive and give him hopes. Husband... yes deep down I do know he's it for me. No more fooling myself.

"Oh! Now you were asking me why it took me such a long time to make her mine. Here this is it. She didn't like my profession much."

No... I respected it more than these women do in the call.
