Loki's point of view:

As I walked home many thoughts rattled my mind. Home, yes I suppose this was home now -especially with Mobius. Anyway, was what Tom said true? Did Mobius love me? He must right.

When I got back home there was no sunlight left, I knocked on the door peering through the window seeing the warm orange glow of a roaring fire. Mobius' face came into view and then the door was opened. "Hiya Loki. How was w-"

I pushed forward into the house, "Do you love me?" I questioned, standing over him my hand clutching the side of his jumper.

"Good evening to you too Loki." Mobius asked in disbelief. "Say, what's brought this on." He used my hand to guide me through the house as he sat me down on the sofa. Once he had closed and locked the door he came back over to me.

"Well, today at the diner, you..." I paused for a moment to think, what had actually sprung this question up? "You called me your 'friend'."

"Are we not friends?" Mobius asked. He sat down next to me resting his arm on the back of the sofa.

My heart plummeted to me stomach.

"I thought we were more than that?" I whispered softly and slowly.

Mobius' eyes widened in horror, "Oh god I see what you mean now! I think we are more than that, I do I do. I just was saying that we are friends as well. We can be friends and..." he paused trying to rattle his brain for the right word, "partners as well. Cant we?"

"Oh." I uttered. Had I really made such a big deal out of simple phrasing? Yes it appeared I had.

"Get up." Mobius laughed as he stood up and pulled me off the sofa. I quirked up a questioning eyebrow making him laugh more. "Dance with me."

He left me standing in the middle of the living room on his lovely rug as he dig a record out of a case and placed it carefully on the record player. It began to play as he shuffled back over to me placing my hands around his neck and his hands on my hips.

I stood there stunned.

I knew this melody I was sure. We began to sway as the singing started.

You ask how much I need you, must I explain?
I need you, oh my darling, like roses need rain.
You ask how long I'll love you; I'll tell you true:
Until the twelfth of never, I'll still be loving you.

As we swayed a smile grew on my face, "The twelfth of never?" I asked.

Mobius shrugged as we swayed, "Johnny Mathis was one of my mothers favourites. She gifted me that record." He smiled as he reminisced, "Do you like him?"

"I love him." I provided in response, "But not as much as I love you."

Mobius let out a laugh and rested his forehead against my shoulder. He slapped my arm and brought his head back up to look me in the eyes, "Well aren't you a charmer? Very original." He rolled his eyes with a smirk.

"Hey I'm here all night." I responded in a comedic fashion. It disappointed me however that I couldn't be here all the nights, forever, with him.

Hold me close, never let me go.
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow.

We slipped into to beautiful silence, or maybe that was Mobius and just swayed in each others arms. We closed our eyes and rested our foreheads together.

I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom;
I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume.
I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme,
Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

I gently pressed my lips against his and felt as Mobius smiled at the contact. It was only gentle, short and sweet, but lovely. We soon parted and and looked into each others eyes once more smiling like idiots.

Hold me close, never let me go.
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow.

"I love you Loki." Mobius spoke gently to me. "That won't ever go away." He spoke softly over the music.

I stared down at his face, beautiful as always. He fascinated me, how content he was with himself. How lonely he used to be yet so accepting of a total stranger. A total stranger who, to others, would sound absolutely bonkers.

Without hesitation, I pulled him into a gentle embrace and then placed my lips on his. This time for much longer and with much more desperation. His hands slowly crept up to hold my hands which were on his face.

I tried to enjoy the moment, however I was just contemplating the inevitable - I would have to leave soon.
