Loki's point of view:

Monday morning soon came and after Mobius wished me a good day I was off. Hastily, I walked through the small pathway in the dense woods and eventually reached concrete roads and bricked houses.

I strolled down the path until eventually I reached the similar building that had a sign that read Tom's on the top - the sign hadn't been lit up yet and the sign read closed.

My hand reached the door knob and I tried to pull it open, no luck, so instead I knocked loudly on the glass in hopes of an answer. Sure enough Tom : came to the door, twisted the handle and let me in. He nodded and I nodded back as a silent greeting.

"Okay ready for your first day?" Tom asked putting on a fake enthusiastic voice however soon switching back to his normal dim voice, "All you need to do is stand at the toll and take orders on this notepad." He passed me a small yellow notepad, "Put them on that spike so I can collect them." He gestured over to the spike, "Then when I've got the food you'll take it to their table. Oh and you can't accept any tips from customers. Understand?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Good. We open in," he looked down at his watch, "Fifteen minutes, can you give the tables a quick wipe over?" He asked.

"Sure." I picked up a spray and cloth from the side and weaved out the counter area and over to the tables. As I lifted up a few menus and sauces to clean I thought about Mobius. I never wanted to leave this place, for Mobius. I want to stay here for ever, I want to get to know him more. I suppose that is a ridiculous though though.

Once I had finished with the tables it was almost opening time and so I went back to the counter and picked up my notepad waiting for someone to waltz through the doors.

After twenty minuets I got bored and began to mindlessly scribble on the notepad (mindless scribbles that looked an awful lot like Mobius and his house). I hadn't seen Tom in a while and was getting honestly angry.

That was all until there was little ding at the door. Quickly, I adjusted my posture and looked up to see who was at the door. Mobius. I smiled and I almost melted.

He strolled over also smiling. "What are you doing here?" I asked curiously.

Mobius shrugged, "Thought I would surprise you in your first day at work. Is that so wrong?" He laughed.

"Thank you." I smiled my eyes softening. "So what can I get you?"

"Just some scrambled eggs please." His wide grin shone back at me.

"Okay..." I hummed noting it down, "Scrambled eggs."

Mobius peeked over the counter, "Is that your drawing?" He asked gazing at his own face.

I quickly retracted the notebook and pressed it against my chest, "Uh, just some doodles." I remarked, "Nothing much.

"Oh but they look good. Let me see!" He pleaded.

"No I really shouldn't." I informed him. "I need to get your order to Tom." I rushed over to the spike and stabbed it on and rang the little bell.

I went back to the counter as I heard Tom clamber out the kitchen and get the order. "You can sit down now." I said bluntly.

"Okay?" Mobius laughed. "Oh and," he slid a one dollar bill towards me, "here's a tip for your service. Not much but it's something."

Without hesitation I pushed it back to him, "I cant accept this."

Mobius scrunched up his face, "What do you mean you can't accept a one dollar bill?" He forced out a laugh.

"Tom told me I can't accept tips from customers." I told him.

Mobius leaned against the counter, sliding the dollar bill back towards me, "Okay, well I'm not giving you this as a customer. I'm giving it to you as your friend and it's completely unrelated from work." He smirked.

I smiled weakly sliding the dollar into my pocket. Friends. Friends. We're we just friends? That kiss sure didn't feel like a friend thing, it was passionate and needy. "Thank you." I whispered no longer trusting my voice to not break down.

He smiled and nodded back before walking over to the booth where we had sat last time.

When Tom had finished making it I brought Mobius' food out to him but went back to the counter. Eventually he was gone and it was just me and Tom again.

Tom slowly walked into the diner as I cleaned Mobius' table. "Loki." He said firmly, "I need to speak to you." He gestured for me to come over and so I did.

He stood over me and said, "What is going on between you and Mobius?" He crossed his arms.

"Oh um... nothing." Why was this any of his business.

He leaned back against the counter, "Are you sure. I've never heard someone so close to tears when he called you a friend. You drew him in my notepad for godsake"

"Yeah... I did." I avoided his gaze as I thought back to our encounter earlier.

"Be honest with me, do you love him? It's fine if you do." The words he was speaking were so kind however his tone never changed, I suppose that's just what comes with being a grumpy old man.

"I do. And I think he does as well. We shared something the other day, we shared a kiss and now- well now he's said we're friends?" My breathing became unsteady.

Tom rolled his eyes, "Romance, glad I never got into that fad." He muttered. "I'm sure he loves you to." He came back to me, "Mobius is a very reserved person, why do you think he lives in the middle of nowhere? He never spoke to anybody but me, he's smitten for you. I've never seen him like this with anyone else. Trust me, I've known him a while."

"Really? Do you think he really loves me?" I asked with a hope laced tone.

"He bent my rules so he could give you a tip. He knows I don't do tips and he respects me. So yeah, he loves you." He nodded. "But be careful. Not everyone out there has your best interest." He warned.

Honestly Tom is just me when I have to write this shit. (I don't have to, I choose to and I enjoy it).
