The community hadn't seen a clean assassination in over a month now. Both Raven and Killing Angel has disappeared. Most thought them dead or captured. Few knew the truth. Harry had locked himself away, healing, and Louis – Louis was scared to go out in case he saw Harry, no longer so certain that he would survive their encounters.

For the time being Harry was helping Niall at the school, teaching lower-level biology and blade work. Niall had come over to the main headquarters to find Harry moping.

"Harry, you alright?" Harry shook his head no and Niall sat down next to him on the small sofa. "What's happening?" Harry paused, "I really like him, Ni," Niall quirked an eyebrow, "Who?"

"Louis," Niall paused and looked at Harry putting the dots together, "That's awesome!" Harry looked up at Niall incredulously, "That's not awesome?"

Harry faceplanted into Niall's shoulder, too tired to think about leaving tear stains on his shirt, "No."

"You want to talk about it?" Harry shook his head and Niall wrapped an arm around him, "Okay, that's okay, I'm here if you need me."

They sat in silence for a bit, "Niall, have you ever craved someone so much it literally aches?" Niall paused in concern for his friend and pulled Harry further into a hug, embracing him as the sobs finally left his body.

Soon enough Harry was back in the field, and with good medical care his wound was almost fully healed at nearly 3 months. That's two months since he saw Louis last. Exactly 56 days. Not that he was counting.

As he pulled his suit on and tied up his hair, he took a few deep breaths. Louis was going to be there, he knew it, this was one of the big breaks of the year there was no way Louis wasn't going to be there.

When he got to the warehouse it seemed empty, apart from the hinges slightly loosened by the door. Louis was already here.

Soon enough he spotted the familiar dark figure up on the rafters and as soon as he stepped in, they made eye contact. Louis seemed to falter before he realised - they were finally going to have to fight this one out, there would be no playing, no compromise. Not this time.

"H, I-" Harry held up a hand, "Save your breath, Raven." Louis almost flinched at the venomous tone, but instead just nodded slowly as Harry pushed forwards, making no move to pull out a weapon or defend himself.

In one movement Harry had one blade to the older man's throat and one against the weak point in the torso of the suit. After a month of watching him suit up, he didn't even have to look to know where it was. "Give me one reason not to kill you, Louis." His voice was rough, and Louis' eyes widened under the poisonous green glare.

"I can't." He surrendered to Harry, confusing the younger man, "Then fight me."

Louis pulled back, "I won't." Harry didn't stop him from pulling away.

"They'll kill you."

Louis stared directly at him, tried to memorise his eyes one last time. "What do you care?"

"I don't." Harry almost spat the words out. Almost as if they hurt to say.

"Fine. You kill me then, saves them the work."

Louis' eyes widened as he saw the blade flash in the dim light, years' worth of training all in one quick, effortless movement.

He didn't expect the firm hit to the head from the hilt of the knife as he blacked out.

Harry caught him of course, carefully placing him onto the rafters, "I'm sorry, Lou."

-

"Take your mask off when you're speaking to me." Harry growled as Louis blocked a blow, "Why the hell should I, you don't."
