"You are not going and that's final."

DJ almost threw his hands up into the air in frustration.

God dammit. Nothing ever worked with this man! How was he ever going to go on this dumb ass mission if he's being /this/ stubborn?!

For context to justify DJ's frustration, DJ had been told by Electroshocker that a good handful of the towers were going on a mission. Typically, he was one to hate missions, always being needlessly exhausted and grumpy by the end of them...but this one was different. For once, they were going to clear out zombies from a place DJ had always wanted to visit. It was literally a dream come true.

He was so sure Commander had him on the list, as he /was/ told he was a very valuable member once before, but his prayers were left unanswered as he realized (with great devastation) that he wasn't.

He remembered the way his eyes frantically scanned the page, looking for any possible hints to him trailing alongside all of the lucky towers that were going. But, alas, no luck. He wasn't going. Not even as a support. In fact, Commander made a point by writing in red ink: NO SUPPORT MISSION.

Thus, DJ went right to his boss's office to ask to be added — surely the guy would fold. He was a pretty charismatic man after all, right?

DJ was proved wrong. Very, very wrong.

It seemed like Commander had a heart of stone, because no matter what begging or offering DJ conjured up, he stood unmoved. Technically he /sat/ unmoved because he was sitting in that creaky office chair, but that's besides the point...!

"Come on, Comm! Really?" DJ groaned. "I even offered to clean the communal bathrooms and you're still not budging?"

Behind those dark, intimidating sunglasses, DJ could see Commander's eyes squeezing shut. His frown deepened, emphasizing the wrinkles on the sides of his mouth even further. The leader sharply shut his day journal, proceeding to lean back in his chair with a prolonged sigh.

"I'm sure I made it clear, numerous times in fact, that this mission is not for supporting troops. Of which includes you."

The musician furrowed his brows, frustration burning underneath his skin the more he was refused. Listen, he loved his leader, he really was a good guy, but his stubbornness truly killed him.

"But, this place—"

"—is everything you've ever wanted in life, I heard you the first three times. Cyber City is really not that incredible when you're actually there. You're exaggerating its glory."

"Commander. Comm. I swear, I'll do anything to change your mind. Anything."

"And I have nothing I need done. Let it go, DJ."

Fine. If he was playing dirty, DJ could play dirty too.

A highly unconventional way of convincing, but DJ had a gut feeling that it would work nonetheless. "I bet I can change your mind and let me go." Here goes nothing. It's not like DJ had much to lose anyway. "So, I have an offer." Planting his hands on Commander's desk, he looked right into the leader's eyes.

Commander's bushy eyebrow raised, a flush slowly forming on his cheeks. That was a good sign to DJ. He wasn't immediately complaining. He almost seemed intrigued. "Go on."

"Could you let me go if I fucked you?"

The sound of coughing and sputtering made DJ snort. "Excuse me?!" Commander's eyes were as wide as saucers as he processed what DJ had said. Maybe he should've had more build up to what he was offering...

"Hear me out! It's not like we haven't messed around before. In fact, I recall you saying you wouldn't mind if we did it another ti—"

"I thought we agreed w-we weren't going to discuss that again!" Commander interrupted, visibly embarrassed at the memory.
