I Wish You're A Girl (Sonadow)

𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 8: 𝑇𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝐴 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑊𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑀𝑒

"Sonic we're heading out!" Manic called for his brother "can you please lock the door for us?" And at that the two left the house and closed the door. The blue hedgehog ran downstairs to lock the door, just like what his brother asked.

He ran back upstairs in his room, he opens the door, but he unexpectedly meet a black hedgehog, again. "Shadow, what the fuck why do you keep on appearing inside my room." He cursed at his rival, shadow uncrossed his arms and softens his gaze towards his blue companion.

"About the confession, It honestly took me by surprise that...you feel that way to me." Shadow sighed, clearly not being able to form a word about what he needs to say. Sonic just stood there, he didn't say anything, to help the hedgehog lose the pressure. "I don't know how to start—"

The hero leaned a bit closer, their eyes meeting each other in the process. He takes his gloved hands and smiled widely at him "Relax, and do your thing shadz." He calmly spoke to loosen the pressure. Shadow gazed at him, how can he still smile after treating him so badly these days.

Another sigh came from the ebony "I'm sorry if I left that quick earlier, I just needed some time to process what you said." And then, here it comes. "At first, I wasn't sure about the idea of...forming a relationship with another male, I thought it's wrong. I was created when homophobia is renowned, I was aware about it but it never crosses my mind. I thought it wasn't that useful due to my given task..."

The blue one listened very well to the other one "And now, when you confessed... I rather wished that you're a girl." Upon hearing that, the blue one's hands started shaking uncontrollably. The way his heart dropped the moment he heard those words, it's overly painful. A tear, dropping in his muzzle.

Shadow noticed how his mood changed, he knew he fucked up when he saw a tear. He started cupping the peach colored muzzle, and wipes the tear using his thumb. "But, I was dead wrong. I can't wish for you to become something that you aren't, Yes I do return the feelings. I did, because I love your traits, I love your heroic efforts, to save other people from being taken by evilness and darkness?" He chuckled at him, while sonic is listening his emerald orbs started to sparkle.

"You're the shooting star who fulfills everyone's wishes, well in my perspective, you are." Shadow then continued "You're also a sign of encouragement, you encourage people... like me to take risks in life, cause in the end we'll only regret the chances we didn't take. And here I am, taking the chance of being with you."

The blue one wanted to cry so much, his sweet words weakens him so much. He embraced the ebony hedgehog and finally let his tears roll down in his muzzles. "Been waiting for you to reject what the world has been throwing at you and finally run to my open arms..." He cried in his rival's collarbone, shadow rubs circles on his back to calm him a bit, he smiled. "I'm here now, ssshhh..."

"I apologize, sonic. I already realized my mistakes for always sending you away." He whispered, in his tone it was very evident that he truly regrets what he did. "Thank you shadz, for taking the chance with me..." The hero softly smiled at him, they finally pulled away from the hug. "I love you"

"I love you, more than anything hedgehog..."

The hero chuckled, looking at his companion's crimson eyes "will you forgive me?" The black one spoke, sincerity can be seen in his eyes. Apologizing is a very fearless thing that a human and a mobian can do, admitting your mistakes is also something that most people don't habitually do, it's very common to people to show their pride when it comes to their mistakes.

Sonic never knew that shadow has this characteristic in him, it's very admirable. "A kiss might work." Sonic giggled, while putting his arms around the other's neck. Shadow playfully chuckled before their lips met.

Their lips moved with so much fondness in them, it was soft indeed.

The blue hedgehog is now sitting comfortably in his boyfriend's arms, his back against the ebony's firm chest. While shadow's chin is resting on the blue one's shoulder.
Shadow seems to be thinking deep, about something he saw the other day. It was sonic's picture, he was dressed and looked very differently. It got him more curious now that he remembered. "May I ask something?" The black one spoke.

"Mhm, go on..." Sonic then replied, opening his eyes and turning his head around to meet the other's pretty eyes. "Well...The other day, I may have noticed something in your room. It was a picture of you with your siblings, but you were dressed and looked differently. " he explained.

Sonic understood the whole explanation, he knew what he was talking about. In fact, he was starting to get nervous the fact that he's about to tell his boyfriend his past. Either way, shadow needs to know anyway, if they're going to form a relationship. "I'm just curious." The ebony then added.

The blue one smiled a little, with a hint of fear in his expression. "I suppose it's the right time you hear my past."

"Shadow, I was born a girl. But, I didn't like who I am back then, and...it feels odd like that version of me is not what I wanted to be." He confessed, while the other listened to every word. "I had a surgery, they successfully removed my...chest. I was upset that they can no longer remove the other parts, cause it might cause some complications."

"I was so confident when the transition is done, but when I found out that I had feelings for you... I can't help but think that if I came out to you, you might not accept me or worst...disregard my feelings for you." Upon hearing the confession, shadow regretted wishing sonic to be someone else he's not. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that, I love you for who you are please remember that..."

He embraced the blue one for comfort "Do I still look a man and a hero to you tho...?"

"No matter what you are in the past, it will never reflect the person who you are to this day. You're still a man and a hero of mobius, and I'll love you for who you are."
