Shreya's POV

"Shreya. Parv has been admitted to the hospital. Please come as soon as possible." I heard mom crying on the phone call.

"I'm coming." Saying that I cut the call and took a half day leave for an emergency.

I went to the hospital and asked the receptionist where Parv Sinha was. She told me room 203. I went into the hall and took the lift to the second floor and exited it to find room 203. I saw Mom and Deshna sitting there. Tension could be seen on their faces. I prayed for my fathers well well-being and hoped for the best.

I took a seat beside them and asked,

"What happened?"

"A drunk driver crashed his car with your fathers." Mom said.

"Both of them got injured badly." She adds.

After half an hour, the doctor came out of the OT and told us,

"He is out of danger. His arm got injured and he needs bed rest and comfort and he'll be on his feet in no time."

We smiled and thanked the doctor. Once the doctor left. I asked the nurse If I could meet my father. She permitted us and I hurried in and sat down next to my father while bowing. As I held his hands, tears just started to fall. He's not in a state to talk, but I wanted to. Nevertheless, I began to share my days. And after revealing everything, I learned that independence makes us strong, but family makes us much stronger. After spending about an hour there, I silently departed the room. I saw my father's eye-watering as I was leaving the room.

A few days later

Dad has gotten back from the hospital. He is on strict bed rest and is healing well.

I'm moving back to my parent's house. Dhriti and Ridansh helped with packing my bags and cleaning the apartment.

Once everything was neat, they slouched on the couch with a flourish while I went to the kitchen to get us some refreshments.

I made some lemonade and poured it into glasses. Putting the glasses onto the tray, I made my way to the living room.

They took the glasses and swigged their drinks. I slouched on the couch and had mine.

After some moments, I got up, taking the glasses and tray to clean.

We went out of my apartment and I locked the door, after making sure the lights were off, the stove top was off, and the blinds were shut.

Ridhaansh drove to my parent's house after putting my luggage in the trunk.

The car halted in front of my home. I got out of the car along with them. After taking out my luggage. I hugged them.

These two precious souls helped me when I was shattered without hope. I'll always be grateful to them.

"Thanks, guys," I said after breaking our hug.

"No need to thank us. What are friends for?" Ridhansh said.

I won't be able to meet Ridhansh for a year because he's going abroad to study further.

I asked them to come inside. They politely refused as they had other things they needed to do.

I bid them goodbye with a warm smile and they reciprocated it.

After they drove off. I entered my house.

I went to their bedroom to see Dad and Mom conversing and looking happy.

"Beta, come have a seat," Dad said when he saw me at the threshold.

I nodded and entered the room and sat on the bed beside them.
