"Try" as I spoke those words,
I feared the delusion would slowly evolve.
Who knew it was here to stay?I consoled the remnants of my soul with the songs I learned from the strangers across the street.
They chanted with so much joy,
It made me want to dance along to their heartbeats. The way it hurts when you get betrayed by a close friend,
It hurt just as much as I watched them stop the music.
One more time,
I spoke too early. Was I wrong to want more?
I needed a hand to hold,
And the wind was kind enough to pat my back.
I needed to be catered for,
And the rain came down to generously wash away my young and foolish resilience.I lost my innocence while walking down that narrow path.
I watched the sunrise alone,
But a crowd gathered whenever the sun went down.As time kissed me goodbye,
The Moon disappeared.
The clouds opened up to let the sol come in.Once again,
I'm left all alone,
Witnessing the beginning and the end of an epoch full of useless ambitions and little truth known but written silently in the blue.
