𝐌𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐎 & 𝐁𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐈𝐁𝐎𝐘 𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐒

cookies

taufan had always clicked with his surroundings. despite not being all that popular, the beliung elemental was very well liked.

he gets along with halilintar and gempa very well, being the three oldests in the family. he bonded with them even before the rest of his siblings was born.

then came his younger siblings, blaze, duri and ice. because of their silly personalities, they too bonded overtime. especially when taufan would defend them infront of gempa. even though taufan considers them more like a trio than a foursome, he respects blaze wanting his opposite to tag along in their adventures.

but he did bond with ice too. he remembered vaguely when everyone else was called for a mission except taufan and ice. to ease their boredom, they ate a bunch of pastries and slept until the rest came back. it was nice, but he doesn't recall having any more nice memories with the blizzard elemental.

and lastly, solar. the youngest who taufan couldn't seem bond with. the age gap was one thing, but the difference in behaviour was another. the gamma elemental is far more matured and smart.

sometimes he felt insecure.

its not like taufan didn't put in the effort to atleast try. after finding out solar likes lemons, taufan made him a lemon pie. he thought he had finally made progress until he found the pie, shoved into the kitchen trashcan. solar didn't even touch it.

after that, taufan didn't bother. he would ignore the gamma elemental's existence until he was practically forced to talk. and even then, he would end the conversation as quickly as possible.

"IM BENCHED?!" solar's loud voice made taufan's fragile ears ring, solar was throwing his daily tantrum again. "taufan gets benched all the time and he's fine!" taufan perked up when his name was mentioned, only to be frightened by the death glare his youngest brother gave.

"h-he's different!" solar argued, but sensing that the older wouldnt budge, he stops. as if hoping for a change of heart from another person, his yellow eyes made eye contact with gempa's. "no is a no, solar." the leader finalized with a sighed.

as the others left, solar scoffed before storming into his lab and slamming the door shut. taufan sighs as he headed back to the kitchen, and checked on the cookies he was baking. seeing that it was almost done, he grabbed his gloves.

a wave of heat flu into taufan's face, making him choked between breaths. "what's that?" solar asked, his presence making taufan a little shocked. "im just making sugar cookies for them" the beliung elemental replied, not even glancing at solar.

"i never get why people would eat something so unhealthy" the boy in white murmured as he sat infront of the baker. "well, sometimes people need something comforting. even if its an unhealthy thing, it makes us happier so we do it anyways.. you can related to that right?"

solar seems surprised at the statement he heard, "i guess so" he almost whispered. a whiff of lemon caught his attention suddenly, "why does it smell like lemons?" the question immediately slipped.

taufan lightly chuckled, "i made every sugar cookies with different scents!" the beliung elemental answered, as his hands squeeze out coloured icing. "doesn't that just take more time?" another question slipped his mouth.

"its not like i have any missions to do anyways" the wind user hummed as he begins decorating another cookie. at his words, solar felt a little bad, especially because of the tantrum he threw earlier. this is his first time being benched but the times taufan has been is uncountable now.

yet he still smiles.

for the awkward silence, solar just watched as taufan decorated the last cookie. pushing a plate towards the gamma elemental, taufan plastered a smile across his face. "there's extras for us!" he cheered.

still keeping a wide smile across my face, i watch as solar began eating the cookie. it seemed oddly cute, how the boy in white had to sniff the food first then ate it, "is it good?" i asked, already noticing how solar's face lit up. "it's so goo-f..d!!" he answers, his speech slightly slurred from talking while still chewing.

my smile feels more genuine suddenly

"of course it is!" i confidently bragged, as he chuckled. "i wished i tried your baking sooner" he says as he took yet another bite, my smile suddenly fade as i remember the lemon pie i saw in the trash. still trying to keep my cool i commented, "maybe if you just ate my lemon pie before...~"

i watched as solar's face morphed into horror, as i caught him red handed. "its not what you think!" he stammered. "then?"

"i was gonna eat it but.."

my eyes met his, and i could tell he got even more nervous.

"some of my chemicals dripped onto it-"

"if thats the case then you wouldn't have thrown it in the kitchen trashcan" i said blankly, as solar frowned. he opened his mouth to say something again.

"WE'RE BACKKKK~" blaze's loud voice echoed, as more footsteps entered the house.

both boys walked out of the kitchen, taufan with a tray of sugar cookies and solar with a frown on his face.

"what's the matter nerd?!" blaze sarcastically asked as he practically engulfed the sugar cookie. "thats gross blaze.." he commented in a low voice, but blaze didn't even notice nor cared.

solar watches as taufan smiles, laughs and ignoring his existence as usual. he turned his gaze to the floor, guilt overwhelming him,

his reasoning was too absurd anyways.
