Anuj had just come home from the last meeting of the day and he couldn't help but feel depressed and sad. After meeting Mahira, he couldn't focus on his work. His only thought in his head was "who is she? and why does she remind me of Anu".
Anupama, that name, he hadn't heard it in 10 years; then why was it coming back again. Anuj couldn't help but think of all the moments him and anu had. From their first meeting

He couldn't help but regret what he said to her. In these 10 years , he realised many things and one of those was that Anupama was correct in leaving him that day. He wished he could go back in time and fix everything, but now because of Aadhya, he had to let go of Anu even if he did not want to.
But Anuj then thought "My daughter is happy the way she is currently and I miss my Anu, It was because of Aadhya that I left her". Anuj then went through old memories and came to the conclusion that him and Aadhya were wrong and that his pyaari Anu was correct.
At that moment, he decided that he would bring his Anu and his choti's mother back and show the world who Anuj Kapadia is. He would make sure his daughter knew her fault and for that he would have to say goodbye to Shruti.
He felt bad for Shruti but knew that he has to say bye to her if he wants Anu and plus he never loved her, so he was lettting her go to a man that actually respected and cherished her.
He, Anuj Kapadia was going to bring his pyaar back to him and nobody could stop him!
