company of men, does not mean what you think. It means, that you are turning your back on "men", men meaning romance. Not men just romance. And if you think this is wrong, here is why
; Thalia HUGGED Percy and he is a man. Bianca was still allowed to see, hug, kiss ( on the head/ cheek) Nico and even say she loved him, despite him being a man* (* boy*). This is because he is her family, even though he is male. Therefore, this means you are swearing off of love/romance , not men specifically. Accepting maiden ship means that you are a maiden, seeing as maidens are just females that have no mate or partner. This is a very important part of being a Hunter of Artemis. And joining the hunt, means, well, just that!
