chapter 1.

"All I knew this morning when I woke is I know something now, know something know I didn't before"

ANDROMEDA SKIPS through the streets of Manhattan, aiming to get to the Greyhound Station on the Upper East Side so she can get a bus to go back to her home—Camp Jupiter in California.

Her quest, which she can proudly say was successful, was to safely return the sword of Aeneas to his mother, Venus, after it was 'accidentally' stolen by Boreads, the sons of Aquilon, the roman god of the North Wind, storms and winter, while they were drunk.

That had offended the goddess of love and she had chosen the children of the sun god—Andromeda and her older brother Elio, and also her best friend Jason Grace, son of Jupiter.

After retrieving the weapon, the boys reluctantly returned to Camp Jupiter after the girl told them that Venus preferred girls' company, leaving Andromeda to return it to the goddess.

Now, after she was done with her job, she finds herself at the station from where she'll take a bus to Los Angeles, because rides to there were more frequent than to San Francisco, and from Los Angeles she'll take another bus to Oakland Hills where Camp Jupiter is located.

She instantly searches for remaining tickets for the bus ride, exhaling a sigh of relief after finding one and quickly buys it. She sees a group of three kids her age or maybe a year older. Two of them are laughing at something while the other was blushing.

They're probably laughing at him, Andromeda thinks.

She hurries to buy some snacks, preparing for the long ride. When the bus arrives, she quickly gets on board and finds the entire back right row empty. The demigoddess grins and takes the seat near the window. Everybody loves window seats.

Andromeda sits down and opens a bag of chips. She prepares to put on her headphones after they leave and hopes the seat next to her will be unoccupied.

While this demigod gets comfortable in her seat, three certain campers board the bus and look for empty places. Grover and Annabeth instantly take the back left row, the former sitting next to the window and the latter in the aisle seat.

They stow their backpacks while Percy looks where to sit. He sees the seat to the right of his friends and decides to go there. The son of Poseidon notices the foreign girl and slightly falters his moves.
