——————————————————chapter 2.
"And all my walls stood tall, painted blue
But I'll take 'em down, take 'em down
And open up the door for you."ANDROMEDA WON'T ever admit it but she feels shy around the two demigods and satyr.
They are a mystery to her. The girl just has so many questions, Where do they come from? How have they survived in the real world all this time?
Is there another safe place for demigods?
She straitens and decides that she'll find out throughout their quest (is it a quest? or are they just wandering like they have been all this time?)
So there they are, Andromeda, Annabeth, Grover and Percy, walking through the woods along the New Jersey riverbank, the glow of New York City making the night sky yellow behind them, and the smell of the Hudson reeking in our noses.
Grover is shivering and braying, his big goat eyes turn slit-pupiled and full of terror. "Three Kindly Ones. All three at once."
Percy's pretty much in shock himself. The explosion of bus windows still rang in their ears.
Annabeth keeps pulling them along, stealing glances at Andromeda.
"You know, I'm pretty sure you're the fourth person in this quest," the gray-eyed girl finally says to the daughter of the sun, the latter widening her eyes and looking at Annabeth with shocked eyes.
Her expression makes the older girl laugh and she tells her that Chiron (Andromeda's confusion and curiosity grows) told them how the prophecy refers to Percy having three companions for the quest, not just two, breaking the the ancient law.
"You really think so?"
"Yes. You seem like a powerful half-blood. Which makes me wonder how have the monsters not felt your scent before? Since I haven't seen you at camp. It's strange."
Andromeda hides her confusion but decides to play along so she doesn't expose the secret of Camp Jupiter.
"I'm pretty good with a blades, I guess... I manage to escape most of the monsters I bump into and the ones I don't run away from are quite easy to kill."
Annabeth smirks. "I bet. With that sword of yours... Is it from your godly parent? 'Cause it doesn't look like an ordinary weapon."
"Uhm, yes. My dad's Apollo," Andromeda slightly coughs and gulps, wondering if that was safe to say. Percy eavesdrops on the conversation between the two girls, his curiosity for the girl increasing.
