The Depressed

Backstory

Class had just ended with Mrs. Teto. I waited outside of class with my brother, Ren. Later on aNaitu cam with us and sat next to me. I hated her! She was always picking on me for no reason! She keeps on saying that I'm ugly and my blonde hair's stupid. 

"Hey ugly girl!"

She called me that name and laughed. I sat down and faced the floor sadly.

"Do you love the floor? Why don't you kiss it?!"

aNaitu pushed me down from where I was sitting and I landed on the face on the floor. I scraped my knee and winced in pain. I couldn't do anything to aNaitu because her mom was here to pick her up. Ren offered me his hand and I took it getting back up to where I was sitting. I cried thinking about aNaitu. She was so mean! Why would she call me those names?

"Ren am I ugly?"

"No! Your my sister!"

Everything was silent while we waited for my dad. He was always busy so he would pick us up really late. His latest was when the sun was down. Ren sighed in boredness.

"I want to explore!"

I nodded and smiled brightly. There was nothing else to do. I got up from sitting but I only fell down again. Ren picked me up and I rode on his back. Like a piggy back ride!

"Where are we going?"

"To the forest!"

I took a look at my red mark on my knee which was scraped and I even saw some blood. Soon I fell asleep on Ren's back. But I saw a forest with huge trees before I slept!

When I woke up I heard Ren's scream. I scanned the area looking for him. Because he was gone. 

"Ren?"

I called out with my hands cupped over my mouth.

"REEENN!!!!!!"

I called out again. I heard the same scream from my twin brother. I looked around the forest when I found an oozing trail of blood. Quickly I followed it looking at it closely when I found a boy. My age, which was 5. In the hands of a man who looked very evil!

It was Ren the man was holding. He had a huge bruise on his forehead which was bleeding right now. I was so shocked I cried. The man had red hair and a bloody knife in his hands. My fear wanted me to run away. But Ren could actually be. Dead.

I turned to look back at the trail of blood then looked back to where Ren was. He was completely gone. Like he disappeared. But the trail of blood followed. I quickly ran following the trail of blood but some blood itself was dripping from my knee. I turned really dizzy.

I saw a red man in the distance holding a small yellow boy in his hands. But the vision of the man and the boy quickly blurred and everything turned black as I felt a quiet thud as I fell.

*hours later*

3rd person POV

Lin's dad came to the kinder to pick up Ren and Lin but it was too late. Ms. Teto told him that they went exploring in the forest. Quickly Len raced to the scene and sent a rescue team to find the twins. Lin was found unconscious. But Ren? His body was never found and the blood trail ended in the heart of the forest.

Lin's POV

I woke up in a hospital with my knee wrapped in bandages. I scanned the area for Ren. But he wasn't there. But my mom and dad were. My mom had tears filled in her eyes as she hugged me. I embraced her back.

"Lin we were so worried about you!"

"Dad. What happened to Ren?"

Dad cringed as my mom's eyes filled with tears and told me what happened;

"They couldn't find Ren. But we're assuming that. He's dead."

My eyes filled with tears as my vision blurred from the water in my eyes. They fell out in the form of hot tears raining down on my cheeks. Ren was gone. Why couldn't it have been me?
