David woke up to the sound of police sirens. He looked out the window, and his eyes widened. The City was almost entirely in ruins... who could have done this? David had to get to the hideout. He put on his gear, and climbed through the window. He jumped down when he was close enough to the sidewalk, and began running. David looked around... it was as if crime was everywhere. The Cops didn't stand a chance against this wave of destruction. David shook his head, and continued running. He quickly got into the hideout. "Adrian! What the HELL is going on!?", David shouted. "There's a gigantic wave of crime. We need to stop it, or this city might fall. Will you help, David?", Adrian asked, He was all geared up as well. David nodded, "Yes. Let's put an end to this.. once and for all." Everyone in the hideout got geared up, climbing into the semi they had used the other day. Nobody, as far as David knew, had their gun on safety. As soon as they got to the center of the crime, they hopped out of the truck and opened fire on the criminals. No prisoners would be taken...

The Crime wave, though the center of it all was destroyed, wasn't over. "What's this..?", David pulled a symbol off a criminal's corpse. It matched the symbol on a skyscraper nearby. "That's the symbol on that Skyscraper over there... think there's a connection?", Adrian asked. "Maybe.. wait.. I know this. There was someone breaking into my house earlier this week. He had this same symbol on his clothing.. someone wants me dead.", David realized. "There's another wave of crime coming. You can go and enact your revenge if you want. We'll hold off these guys.", Adrian told David. "Are you sure?", David asked, unsure if Adrian could do it. "I'm sure. Go!", Adrian insisted. David grabbed some equipment from the criminals and also from the truck. He then took a car to the skyscraper.

David parked the car to the side of the road, shooting two of the guards at the door. He then ran inside, and climbed the stairs that were nearby. He pulled out two SMGs, knowing full well that there would be more guards up ahead. He entered the Security room, and shot all the guards inside to death. He threw the SMGs down, observing the cameras. "Hmm...", he found the top floor, which seemed pretty damn well protected. He got an Assault Rifle out, and ran up the stairs more. "He's down there! Get 'im!", a Guard yelled, as they opened fire. David shot at them all, hitting a few. He took cover, rolling out of the way as a grenade came. He shot the last few guards on the stairs to death. David ran up the stairs, mowing down any guards along the way. He reached the top floor, the secretary ducked under her desk. David approached the desk. "Get outta here.", David spoke, roughly. "Y- Yeah. Okay!", she ran out. David took an RPG out, and got to a safe distance. He crouched, and fired, blowing up the large office door. David ran inside, only to be met with a bullet to the head. The bullet crashed through his helmet, plunging into his eye. It very, very lightly skimmed past his brain, and escaped through the back of his head. He screamed out in pain, throwing his helmet off, blood gushing from his wound. "Hmph. Weak, miserable welp...", the man said as he approached David. "..you... k- k- killed... my family...", David said, weakly. He tried to look up to the man, but was met with a boot, sending him back down to the floor. "Indeed I did. Shall I reunite you with them?", the man grinned. "....no.", David spoke. The man simply chuckled, looking down at him. Suddenly, as David's vision grew blurry, his ears began ringing, and his eyesight tinted red, he jolted up, tackling the man. David yelled at him, choking him to death. David couldn't hear what he said. The man rolled out of David's grasp, firing at him wildly some more. The shots that hit, which were few, didn't even faze David as he sauntered towards the man. David began wildly beating the man, with only one word echoing throughout his mind... "Vengeance", it echoed. David threw the man against his own desk, knocking the air right out of him. He ran and threw the man against another wall. David's ears stopped ringing, and he could hear the man yelling for David to stop, frantically. David didn't stop. He wouldn't kill the man, he decided, but just injure him enough so he wouldn't hurt anyone again. David sauntered towards the man again, and grabbed him by his shirt. "Look me in the eye... why did you kill my wife? MY SON!?", David yelled, pinning the man against the wall. "It was an act of vengeance.. all my life I stood in your shadow. You had a better family than me, a better job, a better life.", the man explained, "I thought that maybe if I could see you sink to the lowest level, I could feel better about myself. I became the CEO of a massive company, through deceit and treachery.. yet, even then, I felt no shame... Brother." David shook his head, "My brother died at the age of 20... I went to his funeral." He chuckled, "That was all part of my plan... with your brother dead you wouldn't have anyone to turn to for help when your family was killed.." David's brother then sighed, "David. I didn't want to do this. But I did. I know you won't forgive me... in fact, you probably hate me now... but, if you have some humanity left.. please.. don't kill me.." David thought for a moment. He threw his brother to the ground, "James.. maybe some day we can reconcile with each other. But, for now, you are dead to me. Now, I'm going to go clean up the streets. Don't... follow me."

==Epilogue==

David and his organization eventually restored order, then went back into the shadows. David received a modified eyepatch that improved his abilities. James went into hiding, changing his identity and moving to the very North of Russia. He is now known as Darkov Neostej. David lived out the rest of his life happily, while also fighting crime. He climbed the ranks of his organization and eventually became Adrian's Second in Command. All in all, David received Vengeance. But, sometimes, maybe Revenge isn't what we're looking for at all. Maybe it's friendship.. recognition.. fame.. glory.. honor.. wealth.. or tranquility. No matter what, we can reach these goals.
