Everything was warm. Emerald slowly fluttered her eyes open. She saw a room with cream walls and a tiled floor. She looked down at the soft bed she was lying in. Mud still caked her fur making it hard to see her royal blue fur. Her quills must be a mess. She got out of the soft bed her feet hitting the cold tile. She looked out a window near her and saw a pure blue ocean with a shining sun in the sky. Where was she? Then it hit her. The government must have found her. Maddie was right they would find her if she wasn't careful. What would they do to her? How would she escape?

She looked around panicking. A huge door stood across from her. She ran towards it pushing at it. Surprisingly it creaked open. She looked at the halls. No guards? She huffed stepping out of the room. She was not going to let this opportunity go to waste. Quickly she slid down the hall careful not to make a sound. Quickly coming around a corner she bumped into someone. With a squeak, she landed on the floor. "Oh my, you alright sugar?" a voice said above her. Emerald looked up to see a Bunny! She looked concerned as she held out a hand. "Everything gonna be alright Kay," she said sweetly, but Emerald was already up running in the other direction. She quickly took multiple turns running past a few other creatures in the process. But she didn't stop, a blur ran in front of her. She quickly headed down a hall away from it. It stopped in front of her. "Hey calm down your ok," she quickly turned again trying to get away from the being.

She kept running the blue blur catching her at every turn. Almost out of breath, she pushed herself till she came to a long hallway. She heard quick footsteps coming up behind her. No way was she letting him catch her. Pushing more she started gaining energy, Soon she put on a burst of speed leaving the blue blur in the dust, leaving him greatly surprised. "Wow," he said as he put on a burst of speed to catch up to her. In a race, both of them turned left and right in the maze of hallways. Everything going past them was in a blur. Emerald looked behind her seeing the blue blur staying a perfect distance between them. He was not trying to catch her at all. What was he doing? Looking ahead of her she saw a door that led to a balcony, she got an idea. All she had to do was make it to the small terrace. What she didn't know though was that the blue blur behind her had called up a few friends to catch her. He was only directing her the right way. Behind a few doors, a few creatures sprung in front of Emerald. Surprised she quickly dodged them as they tried to grab her. She looked ahead of her the balcony was so close, but soon something tripped her having her go face first to the lean tile. She turned herself on her back resting herself on her elbows. The blue blur came to a stop chuckling at her predicament. "Well well well, I haven't had a chase like that since I was fighting with Egghead!" Emerald's eyes widened as there in front of her stood a Cobalt blue hedgehog. Two more hedgehogs soon came to his side. One had black Fur with red stripes on his quills and the other was Silver. They looked at the young hedgehog before them, her eyes still wide as she stared at the blue Hedgehog. "Uh... Hello?" the blue hedgehog said giving her a hand. Emerald's mind was clouded. This hedgehog looked just like her. Had she seen him before? Maybe a distant memory? No, he was much younger, but still. A small memory formed before her. She was being held in someone's arms. They were comforting, the sound of a music box was heard in the muffled background. What was this? Suddenly the black hedgehog stepped forward snapping her out of her trance. She quickly got up and ran for the edge of the balcony. "Wait!" a voice said behind her, but she didn't stop. She jumped. Soon she came to a stop crashing into a small sunroom. The three hedgehogs looked at her stunned. "Is she CRAZY!" said the Blue one. The black one huffed following after her. "She acts just like you!" The blue hedgehog looked at the silver one. The silver hedgehog shrugged following after the black one. "He's got you there," The blue one sighed soon following them.
