As a child, she was found by humans, they loved her as their own. Now after her mother's passing Emerald must go on her own journey to find where she belongs and who she is, and she might just find help on the way.
"This is the story of how I died...
The fluffy bed greeted Emerald when she awoke, but this time someone was in the room with her. She sat up quickly ready for a fight. A gentle hand held onto her ready fist. "Don't worry sugar, You don't need to be frightened." Emerald looked to her side seeing the bunny again sitting next to her bed. She backed up next to the wall. Scared of what she was going to do to her. The bunny looked at her sad that the poor girl was scared. "Don't worry sugar you in a safe place," she got up and walked to a box that held some fabric near the door. "Noticed you might need a clean-up so I got some old clothes for you that I think just might do the trick. Now if you follow me well get you more comfortable" She handed Emerald the box and led her out the door. Soon she was led to another room. Inside was much more spacious than her previous room. The walls were painted cream white, and near a window sat a queen-sized bed with Green blankets and pillows. It almost looked exactly like her mother's bed. Near the bed were a few bookshelves. Overall the room seemed very comfortable. "Come right over here sweets," the bunny gestured to a bathroom. Emerald entered it cautiously with the box of clothes in her hands. "Now sugar-hog I'm gonna wait right over here and when you're done you can give me your uh... dress and I'll take care of it," The bunny said as she closed the door to the bathroom. Emerald looked over the nice bathroom. Everything was surprisingly her size compared to her previous home. Coming over to the shower she started it and set the fresh clothes out. Looking up she saw herself in the mirror. Head to toe her quills were a brownish grey. She grimaced, She definitely needed a shower. Quickly she put her dirty clothes in the box near the door and walked into the hot stream of water. Immediately relaxed she started scrubbing off the grime and muck that stuck to her fur. By the time she was done, she had used almost a full bottle of soap. Quickly stepping out of the shower into the cold misted air she put on the clean cloths. The dress she was given was knee-length with a mix of blues and greys. They had also given her some grey boots which she tried on for size, She would have preferred to not wear them but thought it would seem rude. Given that everyone else was wearing shoes. Lastly, she put on the cape as well as some fingerless gloves and golden bracelets. Once she was done she looked at herself in the mirror. Something was missing. "Oh..." she said noticing that she didn't have her necklace on quickly she searched through her old clothes finding the gem at the bottom of the pile. Quickly she cleaned it off and put it on. "There," she said as she looked at herself once again. Quickly she found a brush and slicked back her quills. Once she was done she took a deep breath before slowly opening the door. The bunny was still there patiently waiting for her. She looked up to see the hedgehog coming out of the bathroom. "About time was getting a bit worried you wouldn't come..." she stopped when the hedgehog fully reviled herself. The once brownish hedgehog was now a brilliant royal blue.

"Well, I'll be..." Emerald looked towards the floor. Had she done something wrong? " the bunny walked toward her in awe. "Well, don't you look more blue than an ocean of sapphires." Emerald smiled at the compliment. "Well, I shouldn't be keeping you here. Let's get you some food sugar," the bunny said grabbing Emerald's arm and guiding her back into the hall. "Where am I? And who are you?" Emerald said as they walked through the beautiful halls. The bunny stopped. "Oh my, how rude of me. My name is Bunnie and you sugar hog are in Paradise." Emerald looked at her confused. "Paradise?" Bunnie smiled at her continuing to walk down the hall. "Yep!" as soon as they got to the mess hall it was a flurry of conversations with the sweet smell of food. Emerald's stomach grumbled, she didn't remember the last time she had a full-on meal. Lately, her mind had just been on her mother. The thought still saddened her. Her only family was gone, she was alone. "You alright sugar?" Bunnie said shocking her out of her thoughts. Emerald gave a slight nod and a small smile. Quickly Bunnie then guided her through the crowd to where the food was being served. Emerald heard the hushed whispers as she passed by them. "Who is she?" "Another hedgehog?" "She looks like Heephis's copy," "How did she get here?" Emerald kept her head down trying to avoid hearing their conversations. Soon they got to where the mountain of food was. Emerald eyes sparkled as she surveyed all the options. "Dig in sugar," Bunnie laughed as she saw the young hedgehog's expression. Quickly Emerald got a plate and stuffed it with fruit and meat even something called a chili dog. (Not vegetables she hated veggies) She soon stopped at multiple plates that held dark brown food. It smelled amazing. "Have you tasted chocolate?" Bunnie said behind her. Emerald had heard those words before. Maddie had said that it was a human food and would be dangerous for her to eat. Were they trying to poison her? She looked at Bunnie concerned, but she only got a laugh. Quickly the bunny took a bite of a square from one of the plates. "Try it," she said as she placed a piece in front of Emerald. Hesitant she took a small bite. Soon her taste buds were exploding with delight. Where had this been all her life? Quickly Emerald put a few chocolate options onto her plate. As soon as she was done bunny led her over to a table near a window overlooking the ocean. "Now sugar I have to go meet with the demy-gods and discuss... uh... your situation, you go ahead and eat," and with that, she left Emerald to eat. Emerald looked out of the window. The sun shined in the beautiful sapphire sky, she had never seen the sky look so big. The only time she had seen it would be when she was looking through her small window in the attic or when it was covered by trees when she snuck out. Now it looked like it could go on forever with no sign of stopping. She sighed as she quietly ate her food. The delicious chocolate had her wanting to get more, but she didn't want to seem greedy. Soon a hand tapped her shoulder.
