with all her friendships in a row, lynn walked into lunch happier. she didn't feel the cloud of awkwardness following her around if she saw any of them. when she walked into school and saw them, she genuinely smiled and waved. chris immediately went up to her. "hey, how are you? you feeling better?" he asked.

"i am. still nervous about that stupid grade but this just means that your favorite studying duo is back," chris and lynn actually talked a lot more about their friendship and how they should just move forward the previous night. lynn tried to call ethan once or twice but he never answered. she wanted to ask about his experience with the test but she didn't want to bug him, knowing he had hockey practice on top of homework.

"you know the drill. you bring brains, snacks, the place and i'll bring myself," lynn laughed at him and walked with him back to the table. she glanced up at ethan who was waiting for her at their table. she smiled but said hello to her other friends first, now that the air was clear and less awkward.

"livia my love," she hugged her shoulders. "and of course, nick and matt," she said sitting for a moment. "guys i'm sorry i ditched, i think i got too excited about ethan and let it cloud our friendship, i hope you guys forgive me,"

"stop apologizing or i'm going to strangle you!" liv laughed. "i swear, we're all cool with it as long as you and chris are finally not at each other's throats," she giggled.

"i swear, you two actually make me laugh. like lynn you should have seen how chris was so stress-" chris eyed nick in the hopes he'd shut up. "seen how worried we were about your friendship. we should all hang out soon," he covered up.

lynn giggled at the obviously fake cover up. "you're not wrong, we should do something soon. maybe after finals?" matt suggested.

"i'd love that oh my god," chris groaned. "i hate studying, lynn, i don't know HOW you do it,"

"coffee, you guys, and lots and lots of gilmore girls," she laughed. "i'm going to run over and say hi to the others, see ya," she got up saying goodbye to the others and went over to her second table. "hey guys," she said cheerfully. "where's the second half of us...?" she referred to how ethan and two others were nowhere to be found.

"ethan, mikey, and riely, had to go talk to a teacher or something," one of the girls, adriana, answered. "you like just missed him, babe," she said with a half smile. lynn sat down and pulled out her lunch while two other members of their table got back with theirs. they exchanged hellos as adriana and lynn continued to discuss.

"it's fine, i'll probably see him later. i was trying to talk to him last night but i couldn't get ahold of him. how are you adri?"

"i'm okay. i am just as stressed about that math exam as you. when you said it was bad, i didn't think you meant that bad," she adjusted her glasses. "and about ethan, i think he was at a friend's house. i'm not totally sure, i didn't speak to him either,"
