Every time that Evelyn shifted into her wolf form, it resulted in the strengthening of her human body. Before long, she had regained full function of her legs and was as physically capable as any other she-wolf her age. Even with her regained health and abilities, she took her time in revealing it to her parents. She wanted it to be a gradual shift, giving Dr. Anderson all of the credit, and portraying it to be a much more gradual process than it actually had been.

Evelyn spent about six months going through the charade for her parent's benefit, letting them get used to the idea of her wellness, but also to allow them time to get to know Jackson. He stayed in Garnet with her, for the duration of that time, during which they got engaged. Evelyn's parents never learned about werewolves, or that the Doctor had lied to and betrayed their trust for so long. They loved their daughter, and they were proud of the woman she had become. They loved Jackson too, and knew that their daughter's health and recovery was largely due to his presence in her life, even though their actual knowledge was extremely limited.

After they were married, Evelyn moved with Jackson back to his pack, where she was welcomed with open arms. She was able to fill a void within the pack that had desperately needed to be filled. Dante, the Alpha, still hadn't found his mate, so there were no high ranking females to fill the Luna duties within the pack. Evelyn wasn't a Luna, but she was a natural born leader and stepped into her role as the Beta's mate with determination, to serve the pack who had become her new family.
