Author's Pov:

Mingyu got early this time. Without waking Aera up, he took his phone and went out.

He saw Eunji's message but choose to ignore it. While making the breakfast, his mind kept going back to her message. Sighing, he took his phone to see the message

Why so suddenly?

I have already told the reason,
Let's talk in office

Hmm

Mingyu kept his phone aside, "I have to put an end to this matter", he whispered.

"You got up early today? Any special meeting?" Aera asked. Mingyu somehow felt sad realising it had been a long time when he had helped her like this.

He smiled and shook his head, "I thought of helping you, nothing else". Aera nodded. She was about to help him but

"No, you are just going to sit and see me making breakfast", he said. Aera nodded, she knew later he would again go to office and she would do the rest thing. But still she wanted to enjoy that.

"Mingyu", he hummed, "I am planning to stay at Jeonghan's for few days". He stopped his work, "W-Why?", his brain gave him all the possible outcomes.

"Is this the start? Is she leaving me? Did she get to know that I was cheating on her? Or-",

"Minjee needs me. She gets tired easily so she needs some help", Aera said. Mingyu sighed in relief, "No problem", he smiled. Aera smiled back.

There was again silence. "Here, open your mouth. Say, aa", Mingyu brought a spoon blowing some air on it. Aera opened the mouth, after eating it she said, "It is best. I missed your food".

"Aera, can you please in my office room? There is file kept there, please bring it", Mingyu asked removing the apron. Aera nodded and brought the file.

"Today Appa will drop you, Jiho", Mingyu said. Jiho smiled, "Yeah, from today no one will say that my Appa doesn't care for me".

Aera's and Mingyu's smile dropped. Aera knelt down to his level and asked, "Did someone say that to you?".

Jiho nodded, "Appa used to drop me before but now it's only you. So some of my classmates were saying that my Appa doesn't love me anymore and also they start living separately because they hate wach other", his eyes became moist.

Aera looked at him with pity. Mingyu hugged his son and whispered, "I love you a lot sweetheart, a lot".

Jiho giggled, "I know, Appa. That's why I didn't feel bad when they said that because I know you both love me the most".

Aera smiled sadly, "If anyone says something like this to you again then you should come and tell me okay? Don't keep to yourself. Give me a promise", Aera showed her little finger.

"Pinky Promise, Eomma", he locked her finger with his and smiled widely. Aera kissed his forehead.

"Jiho, go and wait for me, I'll come", Mingyu said. Jiho nodded and ran outside waiting for Mingyu.

"Did this remind you of young yourself?", Mingyu said giving her a side hug. "Hmm, it reminded me of the young me. I know how it feels, but it feels sad that he didn't even share that with us", Aera said.
