Taehyung started his day in the cafeteria with his friends, they sat down enjoying their cooked breakfast before it was time to get to work, Taehyung stood up from his chair and walked off to the neurology unit with Jimin, they made it out of the lift and both walked to Taehyung's office he saw that his light was off so he opened the door and the pair froze in shock.

There lay Jungkook in the "on call bed" fast asleep under the sheets, the rays on sunlight shone on his face but it wasn't enough to wake him up, his hair was slightly messy and his lips were slightly pouting. Taehyung smiled and walked in the room.
"Hey tae," Jimin whispered softly "I'll come back in a bit." And with that Jimin was out of the room, Taehyung closed the door behind him and closed the curtains a bit more so it was darker, he sat at his desk and turned on his laptop and started getting on with some of his work that needed sending. Around 30 minutes had passed and Taehyung heard a small groan and looked up to see Jungkook squirming, he soon opened his eyes and picked up his phone before making a call, not seeing that Taehyung was at his desk.
"Hey Mingyu, just wanted to check that Joongi was okay..?" Jungkook mumbled still half asleep, he sat up and sorted his hair out. "Ah good.. i don't think I'm on call tonight so i should be back, tell him i love them and I promise to see him soon okay? Thanks bye." Jungkook turned his phone off and picked up his clothes before going into the bathroom and changing into his uniform, he walked back in and was startled when he saw Taehyung sitting at his desk.

"Oh.. hi how long have you been here?" Jungkook asked as he opened the curtains and squinted at the bright light shining through.
"Since 7 ish i didn't want to wake you up so I've just been doing some work." Taehyung replied going back to his laptop.
"Ah." Jungkook chuckled "well Thankyou, it was such a busy night i was flat out."
"You could've called me to help you know? I would've come in. How about i do some of your 'on-call' shifts?" Taehyung asked but Jungkook shook his head adamantly.
"No no! It's okay i kinda need the money for my son.. but Thankyou."
"You have kids?" Taehyung was surprised at this.
"Yeah he's 13 months just need to try and support him so if i have to be on-call then i do." Jungkook said he opened his laptop and started to print some things off. He picked up a photo frame and gave it to Taehyung. He smiled at the family.

"What about your partner? Can't they help with the workload?" Taehyung asked, he saw Jungkook freeze and stutter before turning his back to Taehyung picking up some paper.
"He.. he left when i was in labor with Joongi, so i guess i've become a master at the whole single parent thing" Jungkook made a small joke but turned to see Taehyung was looking at him with pity. "Please don't give me sad eyes its okay, ill manage it. Just don't be alarmed if you see a child in here some days if i cant get a babysitter."
"Oh.. thats fine don't worry, anyway what are your plans today?" Taehyung asked trying to change the topic as he could see Jungkook was starting to get a bit upset.
"Uhm.. i have a patient i need to see, i cant do their surgery.. they have a heart issue so it's too dangerous for it, Im going to have to tell her today." Jungkook replied with a sigh.
"Oh that really sucks.. I'm sorry if you are free at lunch, me and my friends are going to a sushi restaurant across the road if you want to join?" Taehyung asked, he stood up and walked over to Jungkooks desk.
"Oh.. oh the really fancy one? Thanks for the offer but i'd best not, it would leave me with an empty bank account." Jungkook laughs, having some water.
"I'll pay, please come. I'm guessing you wont eat anything if you don't and I'm not going to sit and let that happen." Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's hand and they both started into each-others eyes for a second.
"Thank-you Taehyung.. only if you are sure?"
"Yes! Yes I'm sure, you are going to love my friends! They are crazy but i think you will like them a lot!" Taehyung danced excitedly and left the room to go start his errands.
