Jungkook walked into the huge building and grabbed a snack from the cafeteria, he made his way up to neurology and got to his office, he opened the door and saw Taehyung with all of his friends gathered around his desk. They all turned as he walked in.
"Morning kookie, did you have a nice day off?" Jimin said sitting on the bed.
"Yeah i did thankyou, tries to do as much as possible with Joongi." He chuckles and goes to sit down. "Tae can you email me the files from yesterday so just can finish them off before my other surgery today."
Tae nodded and sent the files over, the group continued a conversation, they tried to include Jungkook but they could see he was concentrating so they didnt want to distract him. Taehyung looked up from his phone and decided to go help Jungkook out as he seemed like he had loads left to do.

"You okay? You seem quiet." Tae whispers to Jungkook who nods and moves his chair up for Tae to sit down. "Yeah im okay i just really need to get these done. My surgery is at 9 so i think i should be okay." Jungkook replied running his hands through his hair. "Wanna go for some lunch after your surgery? I can assist again if you need to I had to cancel mine today so I'm free." Taehyung asked picking up some papers to fill in. "Only if you want to assist.. but yeah ill come for lunch." Jungkook smiled at him. "Jimin.. Tae is gunna assist again."

*In the operating room*
Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook were now halfway through the surgery, Jungkook was a lot calmer this time and felt more comfortable talking to the pair. "So kook, where do you fancy going for food later?" Taehyung asked after passing the scalpel to him. "To be honest Taehyung i cant even think about food right now, maybe when im not staring at raw human flesh i can give you an answer." Jungkook laughed and Taehyung chuckled. They both closed up together once they had finished and they both left the theatre and went into the office and collapsed on the couch with a sigh.
Jungkook leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes, Taehyung looked at him and smiled.
"We make a good team." Taehyung whispered, Jungkook opened his eyes and looked at Taehyung. He looked down at his lips and Taehyung smiled, he wrapped his arms around Jungkook's waist and pulled him closer into a kiss. The pair melted into each other's touch, Jungkook ran his hands through Taehyung's hair before they pulled away. Jungkook hid his face in Taehyung's chest.
Taehyung wrapped his arms around the younger and he rested his head on top of the younger's who was leaning against his chest.
"You don't know how long I've wanted to do that kookie." Taehyung chuckled with a soothing tone making the younger smile.
"I've wanted to since I met you. I love you, you make me feel safe, make me feel special I can't imagine my life without you, you have helped me so much. Thankyou Tae." Jungkook said not realising he had tears running down his cheeks, Taehyung felt a wet area on his shirt and cupped the younger's cheeks and kissed his little button nose.
"I love you so much Kook. I really do, I want to spend the rest of my life with you."Taehyung replied caressing the younger's cheek.

After their amazing dinner and a small cuddle on the couch it was time for Taehyung to go home. He waited for Jungkook to get changed into his pyjamas for his 'on-call' shift. He gave Jungkook a big hug and a small kiss on his forehead.
"If you need help tonight you let me know okay?" Taehyung said, Jungkook nodded as Tae went to close the door, he turned the light off. "Goodnight my new surgery buddy."
Jungkook let out a small excited dance when the door closed before getting into bed and turning the lamp off falling to sleep almost straight away.
