After finding out that Henry used his teacher's credit card to find Emma Regina took me and Emma to Henry's school where we saw Mary Margaret teaching her class

"As we build our birdhouses, remember: what you're making is a home. Not a cage. A bird is free, and will do what it will. This is for them, not us. They're loyal creatures. If you love them and they love you, they will always find you." Mary Margaret said as the bell rang "We'll pick this up after recess. No running!"

After the children left Regina, Emma and I entered the classroom

Miss Mills, what are you doing here? Mary Margaret asked

Where's my son? Regina asked getting straight to the point

Henry.. I assumed he was home with you. Mary Margaret said

You think I'd be here if he was? Did you give him your credit card so he can find her? Regina said pointing to Emma

I'm sorry, who are you? Mary Margaret asked

I'm..I'm his...Emma said as Regina cut her off

She's the woman that gave him up for adoption Regina said

You don't know anything about this, do you? I asked showing the print out of the transaction

unfortunately not. Clever boy. I should never have given him that book. Mary Margaret said looking through her bag for said credit card

What in the hell is this book I keep hearing about? Regina asked

Just some old stories I gave him. As you well know, Henry is a special boy: so smart, so creative, and as you might be aware, lonely. He needed it. Mary Margaret said

What he needs is dose of reality.  Regina said as I nodded in agreement

This is a waste of time. Have a nice trip back to Boston. Regina  said as she walked out in a huff, knocking over a stack of books on the way.

Sorry to bother you. Emma said as we helped Mary Margaret pick up the books

No, it's--it's okay, I fear this is partially my fault. Mary Margaret said

How's a book supposed to help? I asked

What do you think stories are for? These stories? The classics? There's a reason we all know them. They're a way for us to deal with our world. A world that doesn't always make sense. See, Henry hasn't had the easiest life. Mary Margaret said as we walked out the classroom and started walking down the hall

Yeah, she's kind of a hard-ass. Emma said while I didn't agree

No, it's more than her. He's like any adopted child. He wrestles with that most basic question they all inevitably face: why would anyone give me away? Mary Margaret said as I understood what she meant since I used to ask myself that everyday I was in a foster home or orphanage

I am so sorry. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean in any way to judge you... Mary Margaret said realizing what she said

It's ok Emma said

Look, I gave the book to him because I wanted Henry to have the most important thing anyone can have; hope. Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing. Mary Margaret said as I looked at her

You know where he is, don't you. I asked

You might want to check his castle. Mary Margaret said

*In the past in the enchanted forest*

I was in the final stages of labor.  Charming was holding me while Doc waits by the bedside.

Ahhh! Help! I can't have this baby now! I screamed

"Doc. Do something." Charming said as he turned to me "It's gonna be okay. The wardrobe's almost finished, just—just hold on."

Nooooo! Ahhh! I screamed as geppetto came in

It's ready. He said as charming tried to pick me up but was stopped by doc

No we can't move her. She's gonna have to have the baby here. Doc said

And that's what happened. I had successfully delivered my beautiful baby girl, Emma and immediately wrapped her in a blanket that had her name embroidered on it

The wardrobe. It only takes one. I said groggy

Then our plan has failed. At least we're together. Charming said

No. You have to take her. Take the baby to the wardrobe. I said

Are you out of your mind? Charming asked

No. It's the only way, you have to send her through. I said

No no n-n-n-n-no. You don't know what you're saying. He said

I do. We have to believe that she'll come back for us. We have to give her best chance I said

And that was the last time I saw my daughter. I laid in bed and cried hurt that I was forced to sendy baby away to protect her from this evil curse but I hoped that when she turned 28 I would see her again.
