Overprotective

Mattheo and I were walking through the corridors.

I was talking about the upcoming holidays as he listened occasionally, adding things in.

We walked past a group of Hufflepuff boys. Cedric was among them. Mattheo grabbed my hand. I didn't know why. I squeezed his hand as I continued talking.

He didn't seem to be listening anymore. I stopped and looked up at him. He was watching the boys his jaw clenched.

I looked over to the Hufflepuffs. Cedric waved. I smiled back. Cedric ran over.

"Hey y/n, I was wondering if you would like to go to Hogsmede with me sometime."

Before I could reply, Mattheo let go of my hand and punched Cedric.

"Mattheo!" I gasped. Cedric ran off to the Hufflepuffs with a scared look. Mattheo tried to hold my hand, but I crossed my arms.

"Y/n." He said. "What was that for!" I said. He rolled his eyes.

"Oi y/n about that date." Cedric yelled. I stopped and ran over to him. I punched him in the gut. He doubled over.

I turned around to Mattheo and held out my hand. He took it smiling. "You're so tough in front of everyone." I said laughing.

He let out a chuckle, and we carried on walking.
