Adriana's POV
I started walking around the mall and I found the converse I wanted. I entered the Tilly's and the worker gasped at me. "What happened", she asked in shock. I shrugged my shoulders and came up with a good lie. "I was exiting a door and it was a swinging one. And well this happened", I said faking a painful laugh. She nodded, "Well I hope it gets better", she said going back to work. I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and my white converse. I brought them up to the same girl. "70 dollars even", she said. I payed her and left with my things. Ok, I have time to get some stuff from Starbucks. There was no line so I skipped to the front. "Oh my word. What happened to you", the man asked. He looked like the cool gay best friend you would want. "Well this guy Luke. He hit me because he thought I was cheating", I said. The man looked appalled. "That sick bastard, how dare he hit a woman. Well I hope you're ok", he said worried. "Yea I am, guess I can take a punch", I joked. "Well what can I get for you", he asked nicely. "A Grande java chip please", I said. He nodded and punched it in and asked for my name. "You can put Ari, a-r-i", I said with a smile. He wrote it, "Here you go", I said handing him the money. "No girl. This one is on the house. You look like you need this and I want to help", he said sassily. I giggled, "Thank you very much, uh, what's you're name", I asked with a smile. "It's Gabe, and sweety don't you worry. If my boyfriend ever lays a hand on me, I will give him the Ari beat down", he joked. I laughed and walked over and grabbed my finished drink then Ashton, Michael, Calum, and Luke walked in. I was scared, mortified, upset, and most of all angry. "Hey Ariana, what did you get", Ashton asked. "Java chip", I shouted back taking a seat. Luke ordered first and he got a caramel frap. Gabe asked for his name and he said Luke. Gabe looked at me from the corner of his eye and I shook my head signalling it was him. "Grande", Luke said. "You can get Venti for 50¢ more", Gabe said smartily. Luke agreed and payed him more. Then they filled all the other orders. All of them sat down and he had the nerve to sit by me. I stood up and took the empty seat next to Michael. I looked over at Gabe behind the counter and him and all his colleagues spit into Luke's cup before he put the lid on. I mentally HI fived this man. I mouthed a thanks to him and he threw me a thumbs up. "Bloody hell Ariana. What happened to you", Michael asked in horror. Calum and Ashton looked mortified as well. Luke looked guilty and sad as shit. "Something happened in the bathroom and it was embarrassing. So leave it at that", I said. He nodded and their drinks were done and Luke tasted his and made a face. I mentally fist bumped. We all left and I made sure to exit last. I turned around. " Bye Gabe, thanks for the pick me up. See you around", I giggled. He smiled, "No problem girlfriend, you work it and keep that smile. See you", he said in a funny way. I laughed and left the Starbucks. It was already time to eat at the food court and people were staring at my face. I spotted the others and they looked hungry and pissed. I laughed on the inside because it hurt to laugh. I kept my head down and walked right past them and past Liam who eyed me. I sat down and somehow hid my face. They all went to order something and Liam asked what I wanted. " I dont want anything", I said. I didn't make eye contact. He probably thinks I'm mad at him. He walked away I think to the McDonald's. All of them came back one by one. And I set my he and down on the table and hid my face. "Ariana are you ok, why aren't you eating. And why do you seem sad", Louis asked. Michael was about to tell them but I lifted my head and covered my face with a napkin. "Michael, don't please", I whispered. He nodded and went back to eating. Louis looked confused along with the others. I got up. "I'm gonna go get a surgical mask at high health. I feel sick", I said standing up and rushing off. I ran all the way to the entrance and there was a high health. I jogged inside and the old lady working there didn't even ask she pointed to a section and I grabbed a disposable white face mask that covers my whole nose. I payed and left out of breath. I bumped into someone, "Oh Liam, what's up", I asked. "Just making sure you're ok", he asked. I nodded, "Yea I'm fine I kinda want to go home now", I said. He nodded and the others were on their way out too. The drive home was awful because Luke sat up front. We finally got home and I grabbed my things and went inside and locked the van. I rushed upstairs and into my room and threw my stuff into the closet. I took my shoes, necklace, and earrings off. I opened a drawer in my dresser and pulled out a bottle of vodka and popped it open drinking from it. In between cries, I would take a swig. I layed on my bed and cried off my makeup and there was black streaks running down my cheeks. My nose hurts so bad. I reached over and grabbed an Advil and took one with the vodka. I know you're not supposed to mix it with alcohol but I didn't give a shit. I felt like I was weak and that somehow everything was my fault. I mean him and I werent really dating. I miss the old Luke, when we were in high school and everything was perfect and all five of us were like family. I took the surgical mask off and threw it on my dresser. I went to check my face in my bathroom and it got worse. I pulled the tissue from my nose and the blood subsided. My bruise spread to my upper lip a little and it was purple looking and my nose was swollen. I cried my eyes out and went back to my bed and kept drinking vodka. Someone knocked on my door and I put the bottle down and walked over to the door and opened it and someone pushed through and walked in. "Get out right now. I don't want to see you", I cried. It was Luke, he looked upset and he tried to touch me and I backed up against the wall. "Don't you fucking touch me", I said. I stood by my door and he took a seat on my bed and stared at me. "Babe I'm sorry. I didn't know any better and I feel awful", he said. I scoffed, "Are you feel awful, I'm the one who feels awful. And don't call me babe ever again. And bullshit you knew better", I cried with anger. He stood up and tried to touch me again. "Don't you dare and yea, there's someone else. He wouldn't treat me like you do and I know he is better for me. So get out right now", I said. He looked furious, "What do you mean there is someone else, you cheating whore", he yelled. I was scared now, "You and I aren't even dating so get over it. I know you cheated too, because I looked through your phone asshole", I spit with hate. He got closer to me. "Oh and yea. I slept with him and it was awesome", I said in his face. Luke lost it and pushed me down and I shrieked and crawled for the door but he grabbed me by my ankles and dragged me back. Then he started kicking my stomach. I screamed in pain but he covered my mouth. He then picked me up and slammed me against the wall like I was a rag doll. He started choking me and my screams were dry and barely audible. He was looking at me and he saw me start to cry and I was kicking my legs and I found his balls and kicked really hard. He dropped me to the ground and yelled really loud. I scrambled to my feet and ripped the door open and ran down the hallway and Luke ran after me. "Get away from me", I screamed. Everyone came out of there rooms to see what was going on. "Luke what's going on", Ashton asked. Luke didn't respond And he got closer and I stepped back. They all got in front of him. "I am just talking to her. That's all", he said calmly. He walked right past them and I screamed, "No don't", I cried and Luke pushed me down the stairs. I saw all the boys faces as he did that and they ran and Harry and Zayn charged at him and slammed him to the wall and Liam ran and he wasn't fast enough and I hit the floor really hard. I was crying in pain and screaming into the carpet. Ashton was screaming at Luke while Calum and Michael were holding him down and Zayn and Harry looked like they punched him in the face and Louis and Niall were holding them back. My whole body ached and I felt a pair of arms pick me up and carry me to the couch. They sat me down in there arms and held me close. "Ariana look at me", Liam said. I slowly turned my face and I was crying because my ribs hurt. He gently caressed my face. "What happened love. Tell me everything and don't cry I'm here for you", he said sadly. "When we were at the mall, Luke stayed with me and followed me to the bathroom and tried to do things with me", I started. "I denied him and he thought I was cheating and he hit me in the face and that's why my nose is like this. Then when we got home he somehow got into my room and tried to talk to me, but I told him to get out. I told him there was someone else. I thought of you and I knew I wanted you and not him. Then he started attacking me and he kicked me in the ribs and nearly choked me to death", I cried. Liam looked shocked and he hugged me close and ran his hands through my hair. "Don't worry love I'm gonna teach that bastard a lesson", he whispered.
