Jake
I veered hard on the streets towards Raven's house. The tires screeched and Gerard scowled at me.
"Man. Careful with the tires! They're thousands of dollars! "
"Tss. You want me to send you a new car?"
"Nah, you just never get tired of tossing your millions, Jake."
"Don't worry. I dont need them right now." I honked numerous times before their big gates and some guards opened them up. Lots of known people were already there. You could see the limos and there was even a red carpet on the front steps. I parked my car in front and when I went out, some of the Evans' guards went beside me.
I thought, for a split second, that they were somehow ordered by Raven to kidnap me or throw me outside, but I was surprised when they stood beside me to help me reach the front steps, unscathed. Some of the guards also covered Gerard's back and soon, we're on the carpet.
Reporters called my name and I gave them the best smile I had to offer. On my right was Kristen Stewart with Robert Pattinson, and they nodded at me with a smile. After a few minutes, and after my eyes got half-blind, what with all cameras flashing, I made my way inside the Evans' mansion.
When I entered, lots of people shifted their eyes on me. Their eyes buldged out of shock, because of the fact that the son of Mr. Avery, who happened to be the greatest rival of Mr. Evans, was here.
More whispers suddenly errupted around the hall and I had no choice but to get going.
There's no sign of Raven. Where could that girl be?
I grabbed my phone and dialed her number. After the first ring, I heard her angry voice.
"Where.Are. You?"
I pulled my phone out of my ear into a great distance where I could still her megavoice. I furrowed my brows and said, "Why the heck are you shouting? Im not deaf!"
"Whatever. Now just tell me if you're coming or not. You're just making me wait like a fool!"
"I'm here. Where are you?"
"Wait what? You're here already? Oh no....Ashlynn, more make up!" She hissed to someone.
A small smile crept up my face and I laughed.
"So you're really ------"
"Just wait for me there, okay? Below the grandstaircase."
"wait, what--" And then she hung up. Sigh. She always leave me hanging.
I walked into the crowd and went back to the main hall. I waited below the grandstaircase, just as what Raven said.
More reporters went towards me and to some other celebs, but I guess they're not allowed to enter the elite's party except if they have an invitation.
I furrowed my brows as I looked upon my watch. It's been 20 minutes since I've been standing here. What's that girl upto? I already feel ashamed of standing here amidst of all these murmuring guests.
Someone changed the music into a slow one. I became more self-conscious as lots of people around me danced with partners and I'm the only one standing here like a lost boy.
I saw one known reporter from the Elite Mag and he was focusing his camera on me. I frowned as I remember that I'm on the "who's got our eyes" list and when they see me alone, I'm likely to end in the Dateless Bachelors corner.
