We see a boy in a black blazer, white shirt, and dark grey jeans jogging down the city streets, a white Eevee on his shoulder enjoying the ride.

Jogging past visitors and the normal people who lived in the city, he would wave to a few who waved back. Making his way back to the Pokémon Lab where he would meet up with his father, he would sprint faster, making it to the large building. Looking up with a smile, he would enter the building to see his father talking with two of his assistants.

Walking in, his dad would spot him, having a warm smile along with the two assistants. "Ryan, my boy, welcome home, lad," Sycamore would say. Ryan would run up to his dad, smiling as he stood in front of him. Eevee let out a cry as a hello, "ahh, hello to you as well, Eevee." He would rub the white Pokémon's chin as it nuzzled into the man's hand.
"Sooo, what did you need, Dad? You sounded like it was important," he would ask, tilting his head. Eevee copied his movements. "I've recently received a call from an old friend of mine from the Paldea Region, Director Clavell." "Grandpa? What did he need?" Ryan saw the old man as his grandfather in a way, meeting him at a young age. "Anyway, he's decided to let you come to Uva Academy. To study."
Ryan would be shocked; he wanted to go to the academy his whole life, and he was shaking in excitement. "OMG, YOU'RE SERIOUS." He would jump on the spot, overly excited for this. His dad, along with the two female assistants, chuckled at him. "You'll be leaving in a month so he has time to sort you out with some living accommodations before the school year begins. Now, I suggest you pack what you need and go get that water type of yours. Last time I saw him, he was out the back meditating." Ryan would nod before running to get his first Pokémon.
~1 month later - Luminose Airport~

It had been a month since then. We see our main protagonist, along with his father and Eevee, standing in front of a private plane his father owned. "Now, Ryan, once you get to Paldea, you will meet Clavell, and he will take you to where you will be staying. Along with that, you will be staying with a friend of his so you have someone watching over you."
Ryan nodded to his father, bags on the plane, while he had his Rotom phone along with a backpack on his back filled with snacks and a few Pokeballs along with potions. "Alright, Dad, I'll make sure to call you once we land." Ryan hugged his father. This would be the first time they would be apart in the 12 years they had been together.
Ryan was now on the plane, looking out the window to see his father, Eevee looking as well. They both waved as he did back while the plane took off. A long ride to Paldea.
