Chapter One

Coming Home

Iris

Standing in the airport waiting for my plane gate to open. Looking down at my ticket, I read the name Chicago, Illinois. I was heading back home for a little bit to see my family.
  I looked up and saw the gate was opening. Walking up to the gate, I handed my ticket to the lady and walked to the plane to be able to find my seat.
  I looked down at the seat numbers and saw B1. It was a single seat in first class. I put my luggage above me and sat down buckling the seat belt.
"Miss" someone said. I looked up and saw a woman with Blonde hair that was neatly pulled up in a bun.
  I smiled at her as I saw the cart with snacks and food.
"Would you like some snacks or some water?" She asked.
"Just some peanuts and water will do. Thank you" I said.
  She smiled and handed me peanuts and a bottle of water. After she had left I sat my stuff down and stood up reaching above me to get my throw blanket and my book from my luggage.
  Once I was buckled back in and was comfortable, I snacked on the peanuts and read my book. I was on chapter fourteen of my book when I realized it was dark out already. Fixing my neck pillow, I put my book in my lap and let the sleep take over.

Shaking awake as I felt the plane jerk. I looked out the window and saw the landing strip come into view. I sat up a bit and stretched my arms. I folded my blanket and reached up to grab my luggage.
  I put my blanket back in my luggage bag, along with my book. Once the plane landed, I grabbed my luggage and headed out to get my suitcases.
  Once I made it to grab my suitcases, I grabbed my big one and a small one. I slipped my small luggage bag on my big suitcase and then grabbed my big one and my small suitcase heading to the main entrance.
  Walking out, I immediately see my Mom standing there on her phone. I smiled.
"Mom!" I said. She immediately looked up and smiled at me. She came over to me and pulled me into a hug.
"Oh my baby. I have missed you"she said.
  I hugged her tightly. I pulled back and smiled.

"I missed you too Mom. I'm glad to be back home for a little bit" I said. She smiled and grabbed my small suitcase and opened the trunk of her car.
  I put my big suitcase in the trunk along with my small one. Shutting the trunk, I climbed into the passenger seat, as Mom started to drive to the house.

"How has everyone been Mom?" I asked.
"Everyone's been good. Jason is probably at the gym training. He has a fight tonight" Mom said.
  I smiled immediately. I haven't seen my big brother since I left for New York for my job.
"Once I get settled in I may surprise him early, if you don't mind me driving one of the cars?" I asked.
  Mom nodded her head as she pulled into the driveway. I got out of the car and headed to the trunk and got my luggage out. Mom had gone into the kitchen as I made my way to the guest bedroom. I opened my suitcases and grabbed a pair of black leggings, along with a cropped brown shirt. I slipped on my brown shoes that matched the cropped shirt.
  I grabbed my small black, white and brown body cross bag. Making my way into the kitchen, I saw Mom give Dad a quick hug.
  "Dad" I said. He looked over at me and got up, giving me a hug. He tightly squeezed me.

"Oh my babygirl. I missed you. How have you been?" He asked. I let out a little laugh as he squeezed me tighter.
"I've been good Dad. Work has just been busy lately, but I was able to take a month of vacation to come see you guys" I said.
  He pulled back from the hug and handed me a set of keys. I smiled as I kissed his cheek and headed to the garage. He had handed me the keys to his red 2016 Mustang Gt. I shook my head and climbed in. Opening the garage door with the key. Letting the car idle down, I put it in reverse and headed to the gym where I knew where my brother would be.
  I turned into the parking lot and put the car in park. I get out of the car and lock it. Heading into the gym, I Immediately get tackled into a hug. I looked up and saw Mason, one of my brother's friends.

"Jason didn't tell us you were coming into town" Mason said.
"Jason doesn't know I'm here. Do you know where he is?" I asked. He smiled and walked me over to the ring where I saw Jason training with...Blaze.
  My heart skipped a beat as I looked at Blaze. I gulped a little bit, feeling self conscious about what I was wearing now. Blaze got out of the ring first and went over to get him some water.
  I climbed into the ring and hugged Jason from behind. He immediately got my hands unwrapped from him and turned around looking at me with shock.
"Hi" I said. He hugged me tightly.
"You didn't tell me you were coming in" Jason said. I laughed.
"I had to surprise you somehow. I heard you got a fight tonight" I said. He nodded his head.
"Yeah Blaze and I both have a fight tonight. Please tell me your coming?" Jason asked. I nodded my head.
"Well yeah. Why wouldn't I?" I asked. He smiled and then moved his head to the side telling me to go tell Blaze I was here.
  I looked at him. He gave me that look. I let out a sigh as I climbed out of the ring and made my way over to Blaze. Both Jason and Blaze towered over me even though I was 5'11.
  I snuck up behind him and slipped my arms around his waist. He lifted his arms and I looked up at him from under his arms.

"Iris" he said. I was immediately picked up into a hug. I laughed a little bit as he hugged me tightly.
