At the end of the day Theodore met Bella outside the gym to walk back to the office together to hand in the slips they were given for the teachers to sign.
As soon as Bella exited the building he could tell that Bella was in a bad mood, he would ask her about it later as she was clearly not in the mood to talk.
they entered the office and he saw the back of a guy's head he was trying and failing to switch out of his biology class. After hearing his intentions Bella's anger just seemed to get worse they returned the slips and walked to the truck.
as soon as they got into the truck Bella asks if she smells which Theodore finds very weird but replies anyway.
she didn't smell.
this answer seemed to frustrate her more but she clearly wasn't ready to talk about it. Bella stated the truck and began to head towards the diner where they were meeting their dad.

After many painful interactions with people who remembered them from when they were kids they were finally enjoying their meal.
the only person he remembered was the waitress, Cora who was always a very nice person to be around.
At some point dinner Bella asked about the Cullens a family who lives in town.
Charlie got defensive when hearing the name, he was talking about how lucky they that the Doctor was their doctor and how just because they recently moved doesn't mean they should be judged on their differences.
Andrew knew how that felt after being in the town for less than a week.

Theodore sat on his bed as Bella came and knocked at his door, and he let her in despite the fact that he wanted to be alone and decompress from the day at school.
"wanna sit with me at lunch tomorrow, Theo?" she asked hopefully.
Seeing Bella upset was one of the last things he wanted but he couldn't bring himself to go into a cafeteria with a bunch of people staring at him. She was also one of the only people he allowed to call him Theo, the other person being his dad.
He just gave a her an apologetic look that she understood and sat down on his bed and joined him, both now reading in silence.
