Kise pokes his head out of the changing room, giving me a thumbs up. So much for food; it's taken so long to calm down after what Kasamatsu said that I doubt I'll be able to do anything except sort my make up out in the bathroom and put in my hair extensions when in the bathroom. And even then, Kise and I may have to settle with standing up to watch the Shuutoku game. Not that I really mind, I mean, if you're stood up then you can see the high arc shots that my idol does with great accuracy.
Kise drapes his coat on my shoulders as we leave the changing rooms and takes it off of me as I head into the girls' toilets and tweak the dimensions of my make up and re-applying winged eyeliner. Nothing screams 'I AM A GIRL! I SWEAR!' more than winged eyeliner. Wait, doesn't Kise have...
I stifle a laugh in the cubicle as I put my blonde hair extensions in. I take a few deep breaths before flushing the chain and stepping out of the cubicle, washing my hands to maintain the façade of requiring the toilet and using my jeans to dry my hands as I leave. Kise takes hold of my arm. Like I can protect him from the fangirls!
"Oi! Ry! I heard that guy with the weird ass eyebrows comparing Okenok to a girl."
"We heard Kasamatsu-senpai too, Nate." Kise looks relatively confrontational.
"LOOK! IT'S THE LONG DISTANCE SHOOTER FROM THE GENERATION OF MIRACLES!" someone shouts in the crowd as Midorima-kun is passed the ball by Takao. My idol takes the shot and the insane high arc makes Nate's jaw drop.
"That..."
"Is amazing? Yes!" I bounce up and down.
"Oh god, we've lost Konekocchi." Kise sighs dramatically, freezing, finding somebody's gaze on the other side of the stands. Who is he staring at? A redhead?
"Who are you glaring at, pretty boy?" Nate scoffs. "I think I can cut the sexual tension with a knife."
"Shut up, Nate."
"It's Kurokocchi and Kagamicchi!" Kise bops up and down. "You need to meet them, Konekocchi!"
"Man, his attitude changes toward you in a heartbeat, Ry." Nate scoffs.
"Shh! Midorima's going to throw another three!" I squeal.
"Tch. What's up with the high arc." a lightly tanned guy with glasses scoffs.
"Is she going to do this every time that guy shoots a three?" Nate demands.
"Yes." Kise and I reply in unison.
"Okay, I'm out!" Nate turns around to walk away and bumps straight into someone.
"Sorry." Nate gasps. "I didn't see you there."
"Kurokocchi!" Kise gasps. "WOAH!" My jaw drops. He's Teiko's misdirection master, I read about him, not that there was a lot of information on him, but I do know that he trained Kise up into the top brass.
"I'm sorry, I'm not good at English... uhh... Kagami-kun?" A short and pale blue haired teen calls a tall redhead over.
"Kagamicchi!"
"KONEKO RYOKO!" My face heats up as some of the males' facial expressions change as they recognise my name.
"You're Koneko Ryoko-sama, right?"
"Please, don't -sama." I wave off the high title.
"I'm Kagami Taiga." the redhead shoves past the bespectacled teen in order to greet me in broken English. I smile at him.
"Nice to meet you!" I smile brightly. I can almost envision a sweet flowery aura permeating from behind me. It's so nice to meet someone who doesn't seem to be trying to find faults with me. Did I actually...have legitimate fans?
"Your English is just as good as Kagami-kun said." the blue haired boy muses in Japanese.
"Yeah...I grew up in the US..." I rub the back of my neck awkwardly.
"I'm so honoured to meet you!" Kise's beloved 'Kagamicchi' exclaims.
"Tch. Since when did you become a celebrity, Ryoko." Nate scoffs as Kise pulls me a bit closer to him.
"You know Koneko-kun, Kise-kun?" Kise's friend 'Kurokocchi' cocks a brow.
"Yeah! Konekocchi goes to Kaijo."
"Lucky." the dark haired guy in glasses mutters. The raven haired boy to his right, gives him a gentle push in our direction.
"Hi!" I smile, feeling completely out of my depth.
"Uhh...I'm...Hyuga Junpeii, captain of Serin." the brunet's face is ablaze. Is he awkward or a tsundere?
"Nice to meet you, Hyuga-kun! I saw your game against Kaijo! You have a very strong team!"
"Okayy~!" the raven haired boy drags him away. "Sorry, but he needs to go now.""Sure okay!" I nod.
"Because that wasn't weird at all."
"As much as you want to neglect the fact, people here do speak some English, Nate." Kise mutters whilst feigning his usually quirky and bubbly personality. Kise's clearly unhappy with Nate. I don't think Kise's over my breakdown. I'm not over Nate. I know I'm not, but I'm going to have to adjust to his sudden re-appearance in my life. Why hasn't he gone home anyway?
"Koneko-sama...I wanted to let you know that I'm a HUGE fan."
"You're too kind." I try to avoid the compliments. Kise might need to give me compliment training.
"I'm not." the redhead with the weird eyebrows shakes his head.
"You are." Nate folds his arms, malicious undertones in his voice.
"Rude." I glare at Nate.
"Um...congratulations on Kaijo's win today, Kise-kun." the pale boy says awkwardly.
"Thank you Kurokocchi!" Kise bops up and down.
"Shouldn't we go? Isn't that your captain, Kise?" Nate smirks, sneering.
"Oh god!" I gasp. "Kasamatsu-senpai's coming!"
"Oi! Kise! Have you seen Okenok?" Don't move, don't look. Don't make eye contact! You CAN'T get caught out now.
"Ryoucchi went home, senpai! He's not feeling well!" Kise lies smoothly.
"Wait...aren't you the guy who broke into Kaijo's court...?" Kasamatsu-senpai cocks a brow. Nate's body stiffens.
"Ry'..."
"If I do this for you, you owe me." I mutter, making a fist."I'm willing!" Nate whispers into my ear, the Serin High School Basketball team have moved on.I take a deep breath and step into view.
