Serena didn't waste one more second there if she did she would punch him in the face. She didn't know the reason behind this anger and hatred for this guy. Heck she didn't even know him and what happened between him and Ilaria. However the thought of Amari hurting Ilaria was making her blood boil and if anything happened to her, she really would kill him cause Serena Walker always keeps her promises.
After getting out of the club she looked around but there was no sign of her. Why does she always run away? Damn! She saw there was very few people. They probably saw her but they seem drunk. She decided to ask them anyway. "Excuse me! Have you seen her?" Serena showed them a picture of Ilaria. "I think so. She went to that side." The person pointed at the left direction.
Serena quickly thanked her and walked towards the left side. Hopefully she didn't go too far. Stupid girl turned off the tracker so that I can't find her. Such a brat! It's been more than five minutes she was looking for her. Did she just vanish? Then she opened the map in her phone to see where she was. Oh there's a beach within 350 meters. She might be there. God please let her be there.
After two minutes of walking Serena arrived at the beach. She put her phone inside the pocket before going there. Found you. She stood a little bit far from her for few seconds before she stepped forward and stood beside her. Serena didn't say anything, neither did Ilaria. They stood beside each other in silence. Only the sound of wind and waves could be heard.
"I knew you would come." Ilaria spoke up ten minutes later. "I had to." Serena answered. "Why?" Ilaria shouldn't have asked such a stupid question. Before Serena could answer Ilaria said it herself, "Cause that's your job." But Serena wanted to say something else but what? She didn't know that. Right it's my job. But was she really looking for her, worrying about her because it was her job?
Serena stayed quiet. She didn't know what to say to her. She shouldn't care but why seeing Ilaria sad, upset her? She was confused. It seemed like she forgot every purpose of getting involved with Ilaria Conti. "Do you ever feel lonely even when you're with your close ones?" Serena got out of her thoughts at Ilaria's unexpected question.
Serena again didn't say anything. What could she say? She had never given a damn about her own emotional feelings. All her life she only focused on her career. When all the kids around her age played, she was too busy learning about weapons and fighting. Her only goal was to get revenge. "I do and I deserve loneliness." Ilaria said.
"Why so?" Ilaria laughed at Serena's question. "Why not? Who's gonna be with someone like me? I'm a bully. I'm a rude, arrogant, and selfish bitch who betrays everyone for her own sake. I break trust, people's hearts. I destroy relationships. So Walker-" Ilaria looked at Serena with a smile. "I do very much deserve this loneliness. I'm too hard to love."
"No, you're not." Serena answered. "You deserve love just like everyone else." Ilaria looked at her in surprise before giggling. "Why are you being nice to me? I tried to prank on you, gave you hard time and even put you in trouble."
Ilaria was right though. "Do you feel pity for me? Then I'll say please don't. I don't want anyone's pity or sympathy." She said. "I don't feel pity for you, Ilaria. What I said and about to say is genuine."
Ilaria just stared at her. "There must be a reason why you're like this and no one becomes bad for no reason. Of course there are some people who are born evil but you're not one of them."
"Really? How so?" She asked. "Evil persons don't have remorse. They'll never feel bad for doing bad deed. Yes you did wrong to others and say that it gives you pleasure but deep down you feel horrible about it." Ilaria's eyes got teary. "I don't know what happened to you but I hope you realise that you didn't deserve the shits you've been through. You're definitely not the person you pretend to be."
"Maybe I'm more than that." Serena rolled her eyes before making Ilaria turned towards her completely. "Don't degrade yourself like this, Ilaria. You can't love others if you can't love yourself." Serena said. "Give yourself a chance. Don't hide the real you just because of those bunch of bitches and assholes who didn't treat you right."
Tears ran down her cheeks but she immediately wiped them. "How well do you know me?" Ilaria asked. "I don't but if you give me a chance, I would love to." Serena answered without any hesitation.
Ilaria stared at her with teary eyes. Both of them were tipsy but they were sober enough to remember everything, at least Serena thought so. Ilaria gulped and stared at Serena's lips. Serena's heart started beating faster all of a sudden as Ilaria leaned closer and closer. Is she going to kiss me?
At that moment a phone rang. Ilaria got back to her senses as well as the other. Whose phone it was, they didn't know. Both of them were trying not to be awkward. Serena put her hands in the pocket as she realised it was her phone. Dad.
Both of them looked at each other. Serena sighed and received the phone before walking a few meters away. Ilaria stared at Serena as she talked on the phone. She had no idea what they were talking about but she enjoyed staring at her bodyguard. The surrounding was also nice. They were all alone there. The sound of sea waves and the blowing wind were making her dizzy.
Serena was giving glances to Ilaria from time to time. However she couldn't avoid the stare of Ilaria. So she kept staring, not listening to anything her father was talking about until he kinda yelled from the phone to know if she was listening or not.
Serena bit her lips seeing Ilaria's sexy yet intimidate stare. "Dad, I can't talk right now. I'll call you later." With that she cut the call, not giving him time to answer her back. Serena went towards Ilaria and sat back. Serena didn't look at her this time. She just sat beside her quietly for a moment. "It was an important call. Sorry I-"
She stopped as she felt something on her shoulder. She saw Ilaria put her head on her shoulder. "Ilaria?" She heard snores. Serena sighed and closed her eyes. The girl fell asleep. Few minutes later Serena picked her up and made their way to home.
When they reached home, Ilaria was still sleeping. In fact it looked like she hadn't been sleeping for years. Serena looked at her sleepy face. Look at you, being so innocent right now. She looked so adorable with that cute red nose and lips. She could see the saliva on the corner of her lips. Serena might just lick it off? Stupid mind what are you thinking?
She shook her head, trying to get off her crazy mind. She took a deep breath. Can't believe that I've to carry her AGAIN. Looks like you like being carried by me, Conti. She carried her to the room and put her on the bed. Ilaria shifted uncomfortably. This dress looks uncomfortable. Should I change it for her? She thought.
Why do I care? She turned back and about to leave but she stopped. Ugh! I hate myself. Serena went to the Ilaria's closet to find something comfortable. After that she sat on the bed and closed her eyes before changing her clothes. She wasn't a pervert after all specially when Ilaria wasn't aware.
After getting her changed perfectly, Serena put her back on the bed. She moved the strands of hair from Ilaria's face and stared at her. She couldn't help doing so because Ilaria looked so beautiful. I shouldn't be staring at you like that. She let out a sigh. I should go. As she got up to leave, Ilaria grabbed her hand.
"Don't go."
